Did anyone else see the hit that Brandon Flowers threw on Will Montgomery? He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Ugh, yeah, Gray.
What'd you think I said, Grimey?
Nah, you heard wrong.
CB, which was important because we really didn't have another CB in this class
Yes ACCcg
'Defending' champ
Jefferson is being slated at CB, right? Or was there some talk of him taking snaps at WR? (Maybe I am thinking Javon Harrison).
Outside of the big 5, conference championships mean diddly in terms of the NC discussion. You really think a C-USA or Sun Belt champ is more deserving than Bama?
Nice win by the ball team - sitting at the top of the Acc at 7-3 / 1-0!!!
Firstrow is where its at. I use it watch the eagles every week. and soccer. and hockey. and pretty much every sport that I can't watch unless I pay a bajillion dollars to a cable company.
If they staggered it so that there were games every Saturday (obviously, too much money there, they'd find a way), I'd be all for it. College football all year round? Yes, please. (Please note: I know this is insanity and would never actually be implemented. Just having fun with the idea.)
A converted tight end who never played tight end...
It's amazing how some people just can't get ideas out of their head.
Swofford petitioned hard to get Duke in instead of Miami.
Well, he's still a very talented quarterback (not consistent all the time, but very talented). Plus, when Tyrod graduated, there was ONE guy who was going to be THE guy. Now, we have 4 guys who very well could be talented enough to be the next VT quarterback. We're much more uncertain now than we were before (also, this is only year 3 of LT3. Just sayin).
Well we are currently closing out a 4 year span with a converted tight end. So I'm not sure we are any more uncertain now than we were 4 years ago.
That is why the CCGs and playoffs up to the MNC "should" be home field for the higher ranked teams. They say you cannot have such a big game at BC/Oregon yet, Fenway is okay for a WS despite its size. There are issues with the weather but really it's all about the money.
EDIT: I was too slow
A friend of mine and I watched every bowl we could in 2011. If there wasn't another bowl on at the same time we watched. I think we missed at most two bowls. That game. The KFHB. We were willing to start a charity to end the KFHB charity.
Exactly Chazz! Why outsource the cash cow to the bowl game sites? Play all the playoffs at the home stadiums of the highest seeded teams until the final game at a neutral site. Money for the schools, the NCAA, and great games at great college stadiums. Plus you get to see some dream OOC games that almost never occur naturally. USCw vs Bama, Oklahoma vs OSU, VT vs Oregon, etc... It would be epic every year! As far as the scheduling issues, they could start the season a week earlier, or go back to 11 game seasons, or come up with something more innovative. It can be done.
I hadn't even noticed the dog.
That was weird, if went so called sources confirming Miami in the CFA and then just like that it switched to Duke.
Thanks Obama
I Agee, but we need a QB. We are entering the biggest era of QB uncertainty since Noel. Look at our dominance of UVA and notice how much their QB ineptitude has dramatically reduced the effectiveness of the rest of the roster.
Dominoes starting to fall. MT @laurakeeley: source confirms #Duke to the Chick-fil-A bowl in Atlanta on the 31st.— Hokies Journal (@HokiesJournal) December 8, 2013
As I tweeted earlier, if Duke and Miami are off the board, I'm told the Sun Bowl will not pass on the chance to bring #Hokies to El Paso.— Hokies Journal (@HokiesJournal) December 8, 2013
Assume you mean the acccg? We aren't scheduled to play them until 2018. Thanks, ACC!

Sounds right - rare stat for a non-SEC team
