I was at that game in 2009 as well - in full Hokie gear, cheering on our team loudly.

Although I need to put a disclaimer with that above statement, it was the year they went 2-10, and thankfully I was in the student section, so it was empty.

A few thoughts:

I've lived in Maryland for 25 years, and went to our game against them in 2009 at Byrd Stadium. Been to the Comcast Center to watch some b-ball a few times, too. With UMd leaving the ACC, I'll soon lose a convenient place to watch the Hokies.

If I saw a turtle big enough for a man to sit on, with a shell that looks like the sky, and shooting binary code from its mouth, you know darn well I'd fear that thing.

Blake DeChristopher looks like he should be playing drums for CCR.

In the local dialect, the state is called "Merlin", which is where I get my user name. As Egbert notes, our largest city is called "Balmer".

While I completely agree, I was joking. Wasn't part of the Zo Hudson break in involving an airsoft gun and a fake pizza delivery guy knocking on the door before they stormed in..

For those who didn't listen, he said "We absolutely should beat VT. I know I'm new to the area, but I've been on both campuses ... (some random crap I don't remember)... but yeah, we absolutely need to win that one." Something to that effect. It was funny.

I appreciate your sentiments sir but I view this a little differently. Cody Journell wasn't the bully who finally got kicked out of gym class for stuff he was always getting away with. He wasn't the little heartbreaker in high school who eventually got her own heart broken. He's the guy who ditched you at the most important moments in your life. The guy you finally realized doesn't care at all about you or the friendship you've made - he's a selfish fucking asshole and to him, you're just another person. And that's what VT was to Cody....just another thing that didn't matter.

As we close in on the end of what could still be one of the most memorable seasons in Hokie history, I hope that we never have to look back at these last 4 games (hopefully) and say "Cody Journell cost us this one."

I will be in Lane Stadium this Saturday and if needed, I'll scream until the clock hits zero in the fourth. I believe that the boys will work hard and we have plenty of great character on this team. My focus on him is not what I'll be bringing to the game. But until I crack that first of many many beers in the parking lot on saturday......

SCREW CODY JOURNELL.

Rodgers doesn't need to kick field goals, he just will stare at the uprights til they bend to his will and surround the ball on the ground

...that wont fix the problem, if a player is having personal issues with like, his own personal choices, then giving him money wont help. in fact in Cody's case it would be worse. he doesnt get drugs for free. giving players money gives troubled players like that more resources to get in trouble

Clemson
Auburn
Michigan St
Miami
Oklahoma St
Stanford

Was he delivering pizza's to basketball players again?

Its time to start paying college players so they don't need to resort to part time jobs...

i think im good now my brother needs one more hell be in contact too, it was for the girlfriends parents, but we found some students who agreed to trade student for guest ill forward this to an old friend though he said he was looking for tickets

It seems Cody has a bit of an ecstasy problem, which is why he was suspended earlier in the year. J.R. Collins and Deon Clark were suspended for the Duke game for helping Journell cover it up. His off the field shenanigans were a major distraction and I can't say I'm not happy to see him go. It's just a bit sad that kids will waste their potential. Just like MV5

I think I remember reading somewhere that Branthover had started working exclusively on Kickoffs and Fieldgoals after AJ won the punting job with Windmuller backing him up, so I'm guessing that he might have a shot at. Keyserling got the nod when CJ was suspended earlier, but that might have been because they were trying to Redshirt Branthover until a few weeks ago.

I may be wrong, but I see Keihn committing Saturday during his official. He's had quite a few pro-Hokie tweets

Edit: maybe those eyes in his tweet means he is rolling his eyes. Heck I don't know. But he has been actively tweeting that girl that helps recruit for us. The same one that was in pictures with Shai Mckenzie

Thanks for the reminder about Clemson. I'm often blinded by hatred for them and forget that it's good for other ACC teams to be good too.
