The Clemson offense hasn't been great against decent defenses this year..it GT can control the clock and get some big plays in the run game; then I believe they have a good chance of winning. It should be a good game..hopefully!

Aw shit. Bane is going to tear UMD's third string quarterback apart. I think that's who's starting right? Seems like they've always lost two QBs by this point of the season. They might be down to their fifth stringer if Gayle hits the first two as much as I think he will.
I had many battles and complaints about Weaver over the years including:
Banning the "Stick It In" cheer
Trying to ban throwing footballs at tailgates
The annoying "Hokie Respect" speech at the start of every game
Terrible football schedules, such as long-term deals to play ECU every year
Using every timeout or break between quarters to parade out someone onto the field (this was before he became to ill to do that

You're right in some sense that enrollment time gives some flexibility on what year the player counts toward that 25, but unless my understanding is just off I believe a recruited scholarship player is going to count toward your 25 limit one year or the next. As for extra schollies, those can go to walk-ons and special teamers who have proven themselves (i.e. since Journell is gone, the PK who wins the job will probably earn a scholarship).
Coles block was probably a hold (hell his arms are basically grabbing both sides of the DB) but thank god the effort is there this season. Cline's block wasn't perfect either but he drew the defender into the end zone and got in his way long enough for Edmunds to reach the end zone.
based on limited film review it looked to me like Logan sold fakes a lot better in this game than in some previous games as well. I don't think that hurts, as our play action and bootleg action has been pretty weak for as long as i can remember.

Yeah but there are ways around it. That's why teams in the $EC routinely have 30+ signing classes. Something to do with deferred enrollment for the spring semester or something like that. I understand that there is an 85 schollie limit and I would assume teams before the start of a season make sure that they have 85 kids on scholarship otherwise they are just wasting space (at least how I think I understand it). So basically saying that there should be extra ones out there from the loss of players. So who gets those now abandoned scholarships?
Big time, LT has starting NFL talent. I believe that they will take the young WR's into account LT played with for two of his three years and the new offensive coordinator. Heck, they may even take the poor offensive system, play calling, and coaches.
That's huge numbers playing with the third string QB..he is going to have a bright future. No doubt about it! Those hands will get after'ya!
Think we found a star in the making..dude has some speed and a knack for play making. Seems like the light has come on for him the last two games. Why not try him in the return game?

A shutout on senior day, a GT loss, and a Duke loss would make for a great weekend. LOLVA tickets are not very cheap on stubhub for the VT game but I say we fill it with maroon everything.
Great idea, this will give Virginia Tech lots of 757 airtime. ODU isn't a bad program for being so young. They can throw the football all over the field. Did we beat LOLUVA or do they also have a series? Well, never mind...LOLUVA probably will give up football by then to expand the soccer and field hockey programs.
On another note, I kinda feel bad for Marcus Boone. Earlier in the year when the recruiting cycle just started, I remember Boone always being mentioned along with Hand (obviously not as the same talent, but he seemed like a decent prospect plus people always mentioned getting Boone could help getting Hand) and even saw a few photo shoots with Boone and Hand together for pre-season stuff getting hype. Without an offer this late in the recruiting cycle, I fear he may not end up with one. Which is fine if no school feels like he's good enough, but I just feel like he may have thought he was getting some looks from colleges when in reality he was just a sidekick for Hand in all of the coaches eyes during visits an what not.
I don't know why I feel bad since I don't even know him, but when I saw the kid tweet "can I please just have 1 offer?" it kinda hit me.

It's not like Clemson just lost last week and is on a two game losing streak. I think if I were the Tigers the concern would be looking forward (USCe) not looking backward.
