3. Who's left for him to throw to?
I would like to point out that no matter the situation for QB in Blacksburg, it is no where near as bad as that in Green Bay. Johnny Mox tweeted them asking if he needed to suit up!
Bench Logan and Leal - BRING ON THE MOX!!
On the 4th video, the Miami DB is really lobbying for a holding call...how close do you guys think Coles was to getting whistled?
its great to be able to read these and not have to be frustrated by what we did. great job french. i hope we can keep this momentum on the offensive side for the rest of the year
In Elizabeth, just a few blocks from Jack's, P-Stone and Kennedy's.
(There's been a link on the right sidebar since August.)
I think moreso that sports reporters just wanna stir shit up. That's why they ask stupid questions .. like asking Logan if he's worried about losing his starting position ..
StinyFTL pretty much echos my ENTIRE opinion on this matter. We are FANS. We are NOT coaches. Our coaches get paid A LOT of money because they know A LOT MORE about football than we do. If they thought for a second that Mark Leal gave us a better chance of winning games, he would be starting .. /DISCUSSION
No chest beating just would like to see discussion about football things other than replacing LT.
I think he's proven himself to start the rest of the year if he's healthy.

The only place that overall record comes into play at a for a 3-way tie is #7, where the highest team in the BCS standings is selected. In the case of a Duke-GT-VT tie at 6-2, it would end at #2 like I said above.
yeah so how do we go about purchasing said shirt since you still have some?
Except he spelled it "viola."

But I'll give him a pass because of the other Hokie goodness he diagrammed for us.
Under the current system, there are really only 3 advantages to going to a high end bowl game (thats not the NC game, obviously that has its own advantages)
1) Increased practice time per NCAA rules - gives a shot to see what some of your redshirt players have and what they can bring to the table next season
2) Increased regional exposure. I imagine this was one of the initial reasons for even having bowls. A chance to play (hopefully well) in front of an audience that might not have seen any of your games all season.
3) Momentum for the next year - See Clemson. A good win in a big name bowl over a good opponent gets the talking heads talking about you all off season and helps your ranking the next year.
Mind you, this only really helps if you are A) in a "name" bowl - even something like the Chik Fil A Bowl will do., and B_ You actually have to win once in awhile, which has been where our Hokies have been lacking
OSU - 6 championships from 2002-2009. 2012 would have been 7...
French as always great write up, I only see a fraction of this stuff when watching the game. It was an awesome game to watch - great effort, great play calling and great execution, but the technical explanations make it even sweeter. Thanx!!! Now lets see if we can build on this and finish strong. GO HOKIES!!!
This might be my favorite quote ever. Concerning Hopkins playing FB
He was in there and he actually had two knockdowns in the game coming out of the backfield as a fullback, Beamer said. The problem is one of them was our own guy, Kalvin Cline. Even took him out. But he was kind of hitting anything that was in his way. And Kalvin was in his way.
Well considering we play UVA every other year for Senior Day it's not hard to win a lot of them.
No, it isn't. BC and Duke are legitimately good teams, not great, but good still. I think they're both 7 win or more teams. Duke might even get to 9 or 10. Maryland is a bad team that has shown signs of quitting over the last couple games. A trap game usually happens because a team is overlooking an above average to good team. Maryland is below average or maybe even worse with all their injuries. So no, this isn't a trap game. This is one of those ACC games against bad teams that we've gotten used to over the years.
I can't give a definite answer to that. There's about 20 of those shirts left and they're in a box in my office. When they sell out, they're gone. However, combining orders doesn't really get you much. The price of the shirts are $25 each regardless of how many you buy. Tax and shipping was built into the cost of the shirt.
I Just listen to Enter Sandman on full blast and that seems to take care of the issue
To me and some recruits, as shown by the PSU situation, the bowls don't matter unless you are 1 or 2 in the BCS. Until the +1.
Good for recruiting if we win those games, which we don't. Fans stop going because the product on the field lacking and it costs like 5x as much as a home game to attend. Sometimes they fall in the middle of the week after the holiday season. Could it be worse? sure. At least, twice I was able to drive to Miami and split gas. ~20 hours each way.
This should be taken care of and the ad zone that was causing the problem is back up and running. Let me know if it happens again.
1. What string QB are the Terps on for this game?
2. Was he previously a linebacker?
after reading this article I'm not sure the MD players will be able to get up for this game...I agree it's a trap game, but I think we'd have to try pretty hard to lose it

In and of itself, it's a brilliant idea to have the WR coach as the relay between the QB and the box. There's so much potential for in-game tweaks and improvements between the QB and receivers when that's the case. If LT can look Moorehead and say, "Hey, here's what I'm seeing," then we can adapt on the fly.
