"all y'all"
pluralizing something that is already plural
y'all-ception
Could you imagine if he ever had to play Boise St. at Boise....
Virginia Tech has a long legacy of QBs being gawdawful at throwing the ball away. Glennon was the master of holding the ball too long, often leading to what my friends termed "the full Glennon" which is a blindside sack fumble returned for a touchdown.
I really doubt his ability to see players downfield. If I were another team, I would wear a color similar to what the Noles wear when playing them in hopes that he can't discern who his receiver is and who the DB is. Take the penalty for wearing the jersey if it means you get a couple of interceptions.
Also, RIP John Belushi
Y'all is an accepted informal form of the second person pronoun typically used in Southern and Southeastern dialects though it can be found in colloquial use in many other rural and urban communities outside of the traditional regions noted.
Pro-tip: "all y'all" is the second person plural pronoun form used for groupings that are typically larger than a few people and should be used in place of "all of you" in similar situations.
No matter if it is LT, Leal, or Skip taking snaps

I'm with you, Winston has the ability to be great. But I don't think he's as good as people are saying he is. He still doesn't make the right reads, but when your receivers are making highlight catches on every other play you look a lot better.
Best post I've seen in 2 weeks!
Bravo!
We're not done winning games yet. Let Miami be our next victim!
They mentioned that at the beginning of last week's game. He wears contacts...except when playing football. Tell me how that makes any sense.
I hope this post doesn't come across as condescending. I love Hokie football and it is what lead me to love and attend VT. I used to be a grinch, and now that I find myself cheering for the Hokies 100%, I find that I enjoy the games 100x more. My favorite Hokie tradition is bringing people to their first VT game (6 in the past year) and seeing their enjoyment from the games and our proud fan base. I hope this post rallies the troops a little bit and everyone enjoys the last three games a little more!
Does his squinting bother anyone else? Damn can't they get the kid some contacts or something??
Can I just say that I don't fully believe in Winston? The guy has some fantastic receivers that are making incredible plays. He's very similar to Manziel in that he has a safety valve downfield and more often than not, he can chuck it their way and they will pull it in. Manziel has Evans, Winston has Shaw, Greene, Benjamin, and a great TE in Nick O'Leary. The kid has incredible offensive weapons that make him look even better. Not to say he's not talented, but he's got a great supporting cast. Personally though, if the guy has to squint to see the play call on the sidelines, I doubt his ability to see a receiver 30 yards down field. It's incredible what any quarterback can do when he has a team like that. Now his ability to escape sacks like Houdini, that's all him.
I'll feel a lot better if Kyle Fuller is healthy for this; his tackling abilities are indispensable. Crawford definitely is no slouch, but losing Duke Johnson is rough for them. VT will need to play its best game of the year, to have a chance.

1,000 times THIS, THIS, AND THIS!
As in football merits? I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a huge football IQ. I stop by to learn from French and Mason every week, then try to figure out what's going on during the game, then come back for French and Mason, rinse and repeat. Many, if not most of you, have better football merits. The point of my post was not 'I know what's going on during the game because I know grammar/spelling', I was simply voicing my opinion on the grammar/spelling issue and the reason behind it. Yes, I was unnecessarily snippy with the last line, I just dislike it when people make things a 'freedom' issue when it's not.
Yep, it was definitely Mike Patrick. Sean McDonough had the famous "has a man open" call from the Nebraska game.
It's the ACC though. Stuff will happen and for all we know, a team with 3 losses gets in the ACCCG. The only prediction that can be said with any confidence is that UVA will not win another game.
Interesting thought. There may be an injury they are not telling us about that prevents the proper crouch, something in the lower back perhaps? Periodically gets I the way and he throws way high too?
They were not generating as much push as against Duke, but it was a better front. The big factor here is that there really were not many running plays period. I believe 6 carries for Trey, a handful of carries for JC. And, of the 20 carries credited to Thomas, four were sacks, one was the fumbled snap on the goal line, and at least four (including the last fumble) were QB scrambles.
That leaves perhaps 20 true running plays the entire game. I still can't figure out how Edmunds only had 12 yards. He had two 5 yard runs (first play of the game and the second zone stretch in the 4th Q) and a short run when he tripped. I guess his other touches were no gain plays on the goal line?
Ditto, you provincial putz?
Welcome to the site!
While stats are not the end all be all...they still DO count and I think it'd be a mistake to devalue the relevance of the stat sheet. You can blame every other part of the unit for contributing to mistakes but when u look at the final decision that's made, it comes down to the QB making good or bad decisions with all things considered. I assure u that if LT has any pro aspirations, he has to get used to the fact that while scouts might take some of his environment into consideration, he will ultimately be graded on the decisions he made. Fool me once shame on u, fool me twice shame on me; 8TOs have to come back to the QB. Now I'm not no football expert, but I did stay at a holiday Inn last night...so I feel pretty good bat this one. lol
Our D-line is gonna come out hungrier than ever, I'm feeling it. I feel bad for Stephen Morris and Dallas Crawford. There's a storm coming and they are about to be right in the middle of it.
