I agree and it pisses me off that beamer basically said we cant win unless we run the hell out of the qb. We have success running the football with our Rbs when logan is lined up under center

Marcus was actually one of the more talented qb's we have had, he just had a 2 cent head

I cant even call logan a leader when hes throwing teammates under a bus. A real leader shoulders the blame, and he deserves to shoulder most of the blame. Not sure if you read the interviews yesterday, but there was subtle jabs at Leal and I didn't appreciate that at all. It was as if him and beamer were throwing leal under the bus. My problem about this program is there should be competition at every position. Its pretty sad your not worried about getting pulled when your the worst qb in D1 football as far as turnovers go. Your play should dictate how you see the field. Being this late in logan's career he is what he is, he isn't gonna get better on the field this yr. So we have to accept his short comings unfortunately.

It was meant to be subversively amusing. Was trying to PS a image of Will Ferrell saying it but didn't have the time.

Look, Doctor. I understand what you're saying but these are incredibly different situations. Noel was not in charge of a young team that plays wildly inconsistent. He was a QB that played wildly inconsistent. It was the exact opposite situation.

But let's just consider what you are saying on it's principle. Replacing the QB for the backup.

Consider that Logan is the leader of the team. Every player has said so and every player supports him. As a coach you replace them that sends shockwaves of negative feelings throughout your team. That's not trying to be new age about it, it's simply a morale issue.

And others suggested you can't just try Leal out to see if he can make plays. Not with a 5th year senior that sacrificed a potential career at TE for the team who, while makes some bad decisions, is 100% not completely at fault. You can do that with younger players, not a 5th year who is the recognized leader. If you go with Leal then Logan is done. You can't bring him back.

And for the record, the worst QB in VT history was Marcus Vick.

Lmao! Ok, Fern. Bitch fighting for 100. Let's see what we got...

Sorry. I just thought this was amusingly hilarious.

100% agree.

I'll take inane bitch fighting for a 1000 please Alex.

This is TKP. You are all Hokies. Cut out the cat fights and name calling. If you can't make your opinion without insulting others or down voting their opinion simply because you disagree then this is the wrong forum for you. Use your words. Make relevant, researched points and make them. If you disagree the do so with respect. We've lost 3 games. The world isn't over and VT football, believe it or not, is on the rise in the coming years. Chillax...

Joe, can we institute a bitch fighting penalty rule? -50 turkey legs per comment. Please?

I have a very similar feeling to what I had before the victory in 2003. It's not enough that I'm going to be cheering, I'm going to be cheering ANGRY. Deep, pit-in-the-stomach, melt-your-face intensity!! GOD I wish this was in LANE!!!

If Logan was a RS Fresh or Sophmore then yes, you could do this. But you don't do this with a 5th year senior that is the recognized Leader of the team, and sacrificed a potentially lucrative NFL career as TE for the better of the team. If you decide to bench your 5th year to "give other guys a shot to make some plays." then as a coach you sack up and bench him for good. For the Hokies right now that would be a terrible decision. Logan has some bad games but it's never been 100% Logan at fault here. As French reverse suplexed the issue above our offense is not firing on all cylinders. Very few turnovers at this point have been just Logan sucking ass.

I don't understand why Frank is so hell bent on not letting Mark Leal attempt to do better. I remember a time when he flip-flopped Sean Glennon and Tyrod Taylor back and forth. He yanked Grant Noel for Bryan Randall. Say what you will but Logan Thomas was the QB for us during our worst season since 1992. He is 13-9 as a starter since 2012. No one else seems to remember that. Its just pat him on the back and keep chugging along. And to be fair I will also put blame on the O-line for not blocking anybody during the BC game. One guy had 3 sacks and a couple of forced fumbles. That is a nightmare scenario if you're up front. Means you got it handed to you multiple times.

After reading French's anylisis of the play I laughed and thought of this Little Caesar's commercial. FYI I'm posting this all in good fun its not intended to bash anyone.

VPIhokieME - I very much appreciate ur sentiment here, it doesn't fall on deaf ears. But I think maybe there's a misunderstanding. As much as I'm passionate about my Hokie football, and even more passionate about winning, I don't take any of this seriously. Regardless of how valid an opinion appears, it is still just an opinion. I actually very much enjoy reading French's analysis, but columnist or no columnist, Mr. French's positions are no more relevant than mine, otherwise either of us would have a cushy HC job running a program instead of blogging behind screens.

Several of my goons played ball for the squad and a couple still do, so they know I support them. Arguing that Logan should see some pine for his turnovers hopefully isn't interpreted as loss of support for my team. If we have a forum to discuss topics and raise differing points of view it makes no sense for us to expect to agree on everything. Just my thoughts...

Ok, so ur point on my usage of the letter U on this blog site is well taken. I guess since at the moment I'll admit having nothing better to do so I'll respond.

My DECISION to express myself in such a way which doesn't suit ur taste is an unfortunate consequence of my exercising that freedom. I guess if u knew me personally (and some ppl here do), it might make more sense as to why I CHOOSE such liberal expressions. We both received comparable undergraduate education and beyond that I'm doing quite well for myself and I don't feel any desire to overcompensate. Ultimately, if u are unable to decipher the message because of my shortened use of certain words, then that suggests as much limitations on UR capabilities as it does mine.

To ur last point, I don't feel obligated to convince French or anyone else. Just expression of thinking along with my fellow hokie compatriots is satisfaction enough for me. And for freely expressing urself as well as everyone else who has offered their opinion to me, U get my up-vote.

FSU's brains attempting to spell

haha loose...and i thought i was bad

First of all, type out you, your, and you're. You really don't save much time or effort by just using u, ur, and u're, and TKP doesn't have a character limit so you're okay there. Using the full word just makes what you're saying a little more legitimate, in a sense, as just typing u just comes across as, correctly or incorrectly, less intelligent.

Secondly, French gave an in-depth analysis of how and why the turnovers became bad plays, and illustrated that they were not solely a result of Logan making mistakes. I think a further interpretation of that could be taken as a different QB in the same situation very well could have made the same mistake.

Third, as many have said before, French does an excellent job for the site, not only expressing his opinion, but using in-depth and detailed analysis to support it. I think he was suggesting that if you wanted to convince him of a differing opinion, you should also back it up with the detail and thought that French has put into his.

You got me pumped up.

I'm tired of the doom and gloom. Tired of the whining. Tired of hearing FANS complain about kids who are playing hard. Tired of hearing about fans complaining.

Bottom line is this: We CAN win this game. We can erase the mistakes of the past 2 weeks. Let's get behind this team.

@French so I read ur analysis and I'm not sure I get what point u're making. Your analysis shows you AGREE he made these mistakes but dressed up in fancy film work makes ur point more relevant I guess. Keep in mind my post never once mentioned Leal. And all this shit about him not owing me anything doesn't make any sense to me because I haven't made any demands here. Anyways...I'm not about all the back and forth thing, but I gotta beg the question - Is it so inconceivable to imagine a better performing QB than LT? All I'm saying is if he's the best we have, I wanna find out. But hey...its ur world boss. lol
