I remember when I worked at the Call Center (that place that calls you and probably your parents multiple times per year hitting them up for money) I talked to a mom whose fifth kid was her fourth to send to Blacksburg. I asked her where the other kid went and she goes "Oh, he went to UVA." Extended silence. Finally she continues "I don't know what we did wrong with him...."

Waitwaitwait...did you just compare the B1G to a vegan coffeehouse? I understand the analogy to an extent...but the upper Midwest clearly love cheese and sausage WAY too much to ever go vegan.

If you want to discuss this issue at the big picture level - I don't understand how you give Loeffler kudos for offensive design, while giving him a pass for offensive execution. The reason our offense is rated low this year isn't due to the quality of our defense - it's due to our inability to create sustained scoring drives ending in TDs. When TOP is up at the same time scoring is down, it's not a good thing.

Hey, everybody has little things here and there. I even know a few Hokies that married Wahoos......

(for the record, I'm not one of them.)

Hard to say. They're Hackenberging it up around here, and the guy is only a true freshman. Ford would have to sit behind him for a long while before getting in the game. I think Ford is better off coming to Blacksburg, but the schools are so similar and the opportunity to get top notch QB coaching exists in both places. But the playing time is more readily available in Hokietown.

I think that I have only down voted twice, but each time I commented and told that person I down voted them. If I'm going to down vote, it will not be anonymously.

And that's fine. He can work his tail off to get in the game, but if he hasn't won the position by game 5, it would be stupid to burn his redshirt. Keep him on the sidelines and have another serviceable backup that has already used their redshirt like Motley or Bucky. If something like Maryland's situation last year where they lost 3 or 4 QBs to injury occurs, then you play him because you have to. But don't play him just because you can only as a backup. Save a year of eligibility at all costs if possible

And yet he didn't transfer after being told that he would play QB. Makes me think that he wants to play the position. So the guy that didn't want to be a QB now holds nearly every offensive record for the program.

"Unless a couple of big breaks go their way (fluky plays can happen to anyone), Boston College should really struggle on offense."

I see what you did there...

Fluky plays..I would have said Flukie but wtv

very clever

idk if you read Frank's book, but he mentioned that he made MV7's highschool coach and parents a promise to redshirt him.

Sometimes a redshirt season is best for a QB's development. Beamer/Loeffler have been in the business long enough that they'll make the correct decision.

And then there are those of us that have transferred over from other blogs (ie FBS, TSL, NEZ).

The only image I hate more is the one of Coleman Collins with his hands on his head after that Duke Half-Court bullshit. ESPN plays it EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

But the children love the GIFs!

Seriously though, I still have no idea how to find gifs online other than coming here. Every day I hope I see something comical or sarcastic that I can email to a coworker. As a result, GIFs receive all of the turkey legs from me.
