Yea, there's not really a huge gulf between any of the teams from about 7-15, so to me it's a toss-up. I am still surprised that Clemson stayed in the top-10.
My drunken uninformed predictions have more power than I anticipated. I need to get black out drunk and predict that VT will win the national championship before the bowls berths are announced.
With DJ Reid and Marshawn Williams coming in and JC Coleman and Joel Caleb already playing RB why can't we move Trey Edmunds back to LB next year? I don't think RB is his natural position. I think he'd make an excellent LB with his speed.

We're getting a lot of credit in the computers. Sagarin has us at 7, Colley at 9. Billingsley is the low one at 32, but others are in the teens.
I really want Nnadi, but we definitely need LBs bad. We have little depth and need to start bringing new guys in.

I think I like the AP poll better than the USA Today. Michigan is lower, UCF is higher. Couple of other changes that I think are improvements

There's a middle chunk of SEC teams right above us that are going to fall at some point. Auburn, A&M, LSU... No way those three teams keep winning.
Up one spot on a bye week with all the chaos sounds about right. Clemson staying in the top 10 is a bit surprising.

You complain about our nasty defense, but then make remarks about a very questionable offense. With that in mind, what exactly is your reasoning to have aTm at 8th? They have a top 5 offense, but their defense is ranked 120th in total yards, and 104 in scoring defense, which is overall worse than our own offensive ranks. And really other than Alabama, they haven't played any great offenses.
I disagree, before the FSU defense manhandled the dispirited Clemson offense, Clemson handed them the first quarter.
FSU could have handed the game over to UMD to finish for them about midway through Q2.

The FSU I saw yesterday might give Alabama a run for their money. I'd rather see FSU play it close or beat Saban Co. Than see Oregon wipe the carpet with them.
VT #2 in total defense. We've went up against the #5(Alabama),#10(Marshall),#13(GT),and #20(East Carolina) total defenses so far. Miami is #18 and Maryland is #25 in total defense. So our schedule has been tougher than most think. As a matter of fact Jeff Sagarin has our SOS #37. So we've earned our ranking and our record.
