hmmm - maybe - did you look at 2011 v. 2013. If I understand your numbers, in 2011, we were throwing deeper on average than 2013 yet completing more passes with fewer out of reach. Anyway - good stuff.

You had an opinion and you expressed it. I have never been afraid to do the same here on TKP because we're a very constructive community. Leave the other stuff to Sting Talk and The Sabre (which in my head is absolutely pronounced "le sah-bwah").
I applaud your high-minded ideals for how our team should behave. I think they are doing a good job of that. As fans, we can do as we like and I, for one, have been known to get a little (shall we say) boisterous after big hits. I think that's all that is at play here. Our D is crushing people and it's fun to watch. I have fond memories of watching Darryl Tapp annihilate opposing QBs, then offer them a hand up after having demolished their souls. That's the kind of Hokie football I love.

A, he is coming off some knee surgery from high school so he has been limited in practices. He didn't participate in the scrimmage the other day. He may earn a starting role during the year, but not right off the bat. B, Smith has too good of a shot not to be starting. If he replaces anyone in the starting lineup it would be Rankin. That's just my 2 cents anyway.
I tuned into that game in the second quarter with Miami down 14-13. They played like garbage (aka Morris is the Interceptor) on offense and Duke & Dorsett were hurt, but Crawford came in, played like RMFW, and they pulled the game out after throwing four interceptions and being unable to stop Eric Ebron.
Doubt Miami if you will, but that team, even with their backs against the wall, has gusto.
