i think i'll be tweeting walking dead spoilers at ohherro.
If you hit an opposing player in the helmet with a paper airplane I think you should get a pass. I'd pee my pants out of laughter if I ever saw that.
Don't forget volleyball Horse.
I would even do the job at half the price.
well i read her book and the in the chapter about her time at uva she rips on much of the student body, and most of the chapter is about a hike she went on with a boy she wanted to dry hump with but it ended up a disaster. i suppose my point is i really dont think she has a ton of school spirit. . . like most wahoos.
I greatly commend you for the first constructive post/idea on this topic. I personally think it's a great idea.
For people who say a paper airplane is universally understood as boredom, I wholeheartedly disagree that it can't be made into an interesting and unique gesture/tradition. I'm confident the broadcast folks would catch on to when the airplanes are thrown rather quickly and mention it as being interesting rather than a sign of fan malaise. They are all about different/wacky traditions and conveying the "local environment" at the games, as that's much of the appeal of the college game anyway (why do you think Blackledge does Taste of the Town segments?).
Personally, I think we lack cheers, chants, and engaging events during the course of a game. Just think about how excited people get for the 15 seconds of Hardee's shuffle (or whatever it is these days). We don't even use the old Hokie cheer at all on gameday, which depresses me, and have lost Stick It In. Fernleyhokie came up with a unique idea on how to turn something that happens at games into a show of support for the team, which seems pretty cool to me.
Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is this offense. Mason showed two instances of Calvin having trouble blocking, but they can't bench him for being an ineffective blocker. Heck, he's a true freshman.
You can say the same about Edmonds and Caleb and their decisions (I think Mason already did.) It might take some time before these guys can put it all together to become a good offense (30+ points) and even longer before they'll be a great offense (40+ points).
Have some patience folks; If we're still scoring 17 points a game in 4 years, I'll be complaining too. If you expected a good or great offense this year, put down the cool-aid.
I would like to see JC go off again like last year against Duke.
Frank Beamer is not in the scoring points business, he is in the winning football games business.
Does Beamer WANT to average 40 points a game? Of course. But he's not going to chase that goal, if it jeopardizes the teams odds at winning.
The only way this team could average forty is by throwing way more and throwing riskier passes. It's an unnecessary risk.
Wins over points.
Hey, in 2007 if we didn't blow that BC game we would of have been in the NC with one loss and Tennessee beats LSU in SEC Championship game we would of been in with 2. So who knows?
I'm such a fan of the way this season is going. You know those years where we are a Top 10 team, and have questionable games... I don't like that. This year feels different for me. Starting low, not really in any discussions. Week by week Logan is getting better, and the defense continues to play so well. This team just seems able to compete with anyone, and it's coming off a bad year. I love it, and the love we get. I still talk to Alabama fans who say when you take away the Non-Offensive scores that was the scariest game we've been in.
McShay also had Logan as his player on the rise.
Yea, but I see no way they get through their schedule without another loss. I actually could see them losing two more.
Torres scores goals. Kid shows up ready to find the net. But his ego is so delicate. Dainty, even. He's the classic needy forward.
First off, as someone else said, do we really have to go over this again?
There are enough fans looking for tickets that would happily fill the seats and enjoy the game
Secondly, that quote isn't actually true as exhibited by the end of the sellout streak. I think some of our fanbase needs to stop alienating fans who don't spend their entire weekend watching football and instead come up with creative ways to make the games more engaging for those fans.
Yes, Hope Solo is epic, too. Soccer women are the best.
Haha every time I see a picture with VTScoop on it I think back to Joe's epic twitter battle with whatshisface.
The good news is that it still seems like you'll be able to tell what's going on the field.

It was his head. You could see the mouth moving. Also, if you watched the talking dead right afterwards they said it was the last of those two. Apparently people loved her and then they just killed her. Seems like episode two and three are going to be nightmares.
Can't say I've ever heard that myself.
Exactly the subtle point I was thinking! Glad Shane is on the staff and like him as a coach and what he brings recruiting etc but just not sure how capable/qualified he is to teach RB's. I'm by no means a x's, o's expert either but Hite did have success with some not so big name and "star" RB's because of how he taught the position. Billy aint walking back in that door as a coach so I just brought this up as a thought. We have what we have and it will improve!
For comparison see: The cash machine, ATM. Same loss. And a more exciting offense.

So glad Chelsea gave up on Sturridge. I'll trade a dainty, egomaniac like Torres for a grind it out hard working like Sturridge. Him and Suarez are lethal right now.
