I'll be at a wedding (Family member who isn't a Hokie who luckily for me planned accordingly. Not that that had anything to do whatsoever with the date that was chosen heh.) So I'll be bumming out around there, and when not involved in anything related to that checking in on various CFB games.

I was about to say #5 is golden advice.

I have no filly either, just sayin'

Worth mentioning that Hite was the only existing staff member Frank decided to keep on his roster when he was hired. I think that says a lot.

While I'm by no means blaming Shane for the recent fall off in the running game, I am not yet sold on him as a running back's coach.

I think "hasn't a clue" is correct grammar, no?

Also, how he has that salary is way beyond this horse brain.

Who CARES what the place looks like... we're gonna show up:
1. Watch the Hokies destroy UT
2, Then shoot off ballistic missiles disguised as fireworks when the scoreboard clock hits zero
3. Then burn the place down, high-fiving Bruton Smith on the way out as he's smiling ear-to-ear counting his cash
4. While the Chamber of Commerce is already at the task of sending hand-written 'thank you' cards to each and every fan attending the game
5. Not to mention we set the new sporting event attendance record
6. Peyton Manning switches his endowment
7. And every recruit in the world is lining up to play for VPI, their moms throwing their unmentionables and their dads slinging their wallets at coaching staff...

There's more, but you get the realism here.

My wife found this one on Pinterest the other day:

Have you tried turning it off and on again

I did not participate in the bar crawl. We worked with Gates on their calender process pretty much wasting money and making ridiculous claims, which my group stuck me with making during all our presentations. We had Nachlas as our advisor. I was a pretty good presenter, though, if I may toot my own horn.

You may recall seeing my initial presentation on our topic where I pulled out the Michael Vick line from the commercial..."Now, having access to one of the best golf courses on the East Coast wasn't initially in the project plan....but it should be..."

EDIT: Softside trailer loading project?

I agree. As I get older, I like these less and less. Now when a big hit happens, I don't hit the ceiling with excitement, I start to worry about the guy that got hit. Especially if it looks cheap. Up here in Steelers country, everyone used to love James Harrison, but I hated him.

I guess my whole rationale behind it is that players need to have respect for each other, even hated teams and players, as people first and sporting opponents second. No one should have to go through a hit that takes them out of commission just because they didn't 'have their head on a swivel', as so many people try to tell me.

The worst of these I've seen in college are the DBs from LSU. They appear to delight in taking advantage of defenseless players, laying hits on people that shouldn't be legal. They were until this year, so there's very little recourse but to complain, but I don't like it when people step on the field and leave their empathy for their fellow man on the sideline.

I got down voted for this??? This must be a mistake. If not, please read some of my other posts. They're much more offensive than this.

Yeah I'm the same way. Just trying to get something that can keep my in DC area. So we got a food scientist down below, a mechanical engineer, and a video/creative guy.. anyone looking to hire? haha

I plan on watching Duke beat UVa. Also will be watching the big ACC game, with the Richmond Seminoles at Baja in The Fan.

#1 sounds like my kind of a weekend. But for #5, it helps when you marry a fellow Hokie. We spend our Saturdays watching Tech together. I spend Sundays gloating about our respective NFL teams. This weekend, he has to complete a community service project as part of his Army career course. I get to be rent-a-crowd with him.

There's also a distinction between "boring" and "disappointed." Is our offense "boring" because we attempted 5 field goals? Or are we just "disappointed" more of those weren't touchdowns? I would have loved to stick a few more TD's in on Pitt, but I'm way more excited about winning than I am disappointed about only scoring 19 points, especially when we held them to only 3 and a garbage time TD.

I'm totally serial when I say Smokey laying down like that is the most apt thing that could have happened in that bowl game.

Couldn't help it, my UVA hate runs deep.
I posted afterward so that I get my "just desserts".

Is it possible to put a treadmill somewhere? If so, I'll run the whole game in one of those race-for-the-cure type things where people donate, like 10 cents a mile.

Oregon probably would scare me the worst. They have the players and coaches to truly run the spread. The Hokie D could definitely slow it down..., but I'm not sure the Hokie O could match 21 pts right now.

If the offense just managed field position, I think the Hokies would slap Johnny Football all over the field.

Well, look at how long we've been complaining about the offense, but look at the big wins we've had the last few years, like Miami 2011. When the points were needed, we got them. Now consistently scoring points, I agree, could be the difference between 11-2 with two losses to Clemson, and 13-0 on our way to the MNC...

Closer than the experts think. We wouldn't run the ball once. And from what I'm hearing from the talking heads, Alabama's offensive line is MUCH BETTER than they were against Virginia Tech.

17-14 Alabama victory
