Don't take this personally, but if a place in Virginia - Charlottesville, no less - set the standard for bagels in your life, you haven't lived yet and clearly have never resided in northern NJ. Any bagel lover will tell you the water is what makes a great bagel, and for some reason North Jersey water (coming down straight from the Highlands) makes the best bagels. [Insert NJ Joke here] There are some shops in Florida that literally truck in water from NJ to ensure that their bagels meet the standard the snowbirds expect from a bagel.
I have a good feeling about today.
I'm going to say 31-6
I think his name came up when the Tennessee job came open the last time
Yes, I'm replying to myself (it's the voices...). I'm a dunce, but think I figured out how to embed pics. Or so I hope.

God, let's get this monkey off our back! I've witnessed entirely too many Pitt upsets. Go HOKIES!!
At the beginning of the year I had a best case 24-10 and worst case 21-19 win for the hokies. Seeing the offense improve, I would say best case is 35-10 and worst case is 28-19. I would love to see a huge win for us, but this is a tough opponent...If the offense is humming like it was against UNC for the first half, it could be a huge game for us.
edit: worst case is a loss. by worst case, I mean the less than desired outcome---if things don't execute like they should: i.e. inept offense for a quarter or 2, defense bending but not breaking.
Despite the frustrations of last season, and that game in particular, RVD's block is still one of my all-time favorite plays.
Prediction for today: VT 21 - Pitt 17
Let's go Hokies!
Cutcliffe has three starting QB's in the NFL right now (Manning Bros, Thad Lewis) , not bad at all.
I talk stock markets and politics when the time is right, but come saturday and sunday--there is football to be watched. Those conversations can wait! what a bunch of pretentious tools.
Forget stripper pole, I've already seen the wrecking ball and can't supplant it.
Have they experienced a certain WVU rivalry?
HD, even YOU couldn't be that far off...I think you are regressing in your prowess...I couldn't make up a more B/R-ish second paragraph if I tried.
hate on me all you want, but I gotta admit, Clemson fans are among the classiest I've ever been around (at least the ones I've met) I ran into one at a party two years ago and they were saying may the best team win, and how they didnt think they'd pull out a win and how talented of a team we have and how beamer was such a great coach...and I just stood there mouth...agape, ive always found it really hard to hate them, although I could imagine a mass of their fans would act a little different
Candy playoff? Brilliant!
1. Three Musketeers
2. Snickers
3. Reese's cups
4. Dark chocolate M&M's
I'm pretty sure the VT secondary only gave up 7 points in the Bama game
tl;dr, here's my take instead:
The Panthers have owned this series for the last 13 years. Don't look now, but UVA has beaten Va Tech since the last time Va Tech has beaten Pitt. This game will be interesting because both teams still control their own destiny, so for that reason expect each team to show up with a lot of effort to win this one.
The main thing to watch for here will be to see how many yards the Panthers receivers Devin Street and Tyler Boyd, one of the best duos in the nation, can rack up against a freshman-dominated Va Tech secondary that I'm sure contributed to Bama scoring 35 points in the opener, which won't get any reprieve this week as top-CB Antone Exum is still out with an injury.
Thanks, I'd forgotten about Grant Noel. Seriously, had you asked me to quickly list VT quarterbacks since 1999, his name wouldn't have come up.
all I want for my birthday is for Pitt to eat shit.
1. M&M's
2. Mini-Three Musketeers
3. Whoppers (I know, they're always left over, but I like them)
4. Mini-Hershey bars (any variety)
Edit: I think they're all in the same conference, so it'll never happen.
I remember even after five or six years of B. Randall, T. Taylor, and 10-win seasons, I would mention Virginia Tech and someone (obviously uninformed) would laugh and say they "always lose in November". Wanted to ask if they'd been living under a rock...
I'm still here, there's just soooo much going on the blog that I'm too busy to post much.
If you're HD...
1. Miami
2. The U
3. The Canes
4. Who else but the U!?!?!
Mine:
1. Alabama
2. Stanford
3. FSU
4. Georgia
If I am correct, they only give them out at student orientation. Can anyone confirm this?
Agree on all fronts. I really hope Baylor is for real. Someone down below also mentioned putting Louisville in the conversation, but idk if that could be justified based solely on the fact that they are in the AAC (this is where conference affiliation and perception will kill you)

I hope!
