Agreed. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a shot anywhere but Duke? I know he coached at Ole Miss and got fired b/c of one bad season.

It would be a shame if VT ran the table and missed a shot at something larger because we played Alabama instead of Directional University instead.

I got on this thread late, but I was going to say that, for his classiness and acumen, Cutliffe is my second favorite ACC coach behind Beamrizzle. So turkey leg for your quality judge of character.

if your next write up is going to be on "in game traditions" you and Hokie_x3_Hi should team up on that. I know there are a lot of things the band does that more people should join in on. i.e. when certain songs are played and chants that go with them. My favorite is every time we get a sack they play "We Will Rock You" and correct me if I'm wrong but I was told the chant goes: (we will we will rock you) HEY. We just sacked you... HEY. We'll do it again... HEY. I think he liked it!

Heard about his son's death on the radio as I was on my way home from work (my mouth dropped). Can't even begin to imagine how he must be feeling, but my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. I'm not a father yet, but I can believe that burying your son/daughter is the most devastating thing a father would have to do.
I totally agree with this. My mom lives in Columbia, SC and graduated from VT. She says the Clemson fan base even in Columbia tell her how VT isn't a "factor" anymore in the ACC. *laughs*

I've always been an AP fan, when he was a freshman at OU I thought he was one of the best backs I had ever seen. I can't fathom what could make someone want to beat a defenseless child.
