I don't think he got air as much as he was nearly at the holder when Cody kicked it. He shifted at the last second before the snap, hit a hole, and walked through the line. Saw that block coming all the way.

Edit: Just saw the replay and the guy didn't shift before the snap. He just went unblocked and was about 3 or 4 yards deep when Cody kicked it right into him. Well played by Trey Gresh to prevent the return though. Guy was on his feet quick and made the shoe string tackle.

I know it's already been said before, but I LOVE the support for everyone all across the team. When you're playing for your family, that's when you start kicking @$$

I like the fact that we are going after more Punt Blocks, but it seems we are completely sacrificing any punt return opportunity. Jarrett has been completely ineffective and lets to many punts drop. He needs to fair catch it every now and then to save the 10 yards they gain on the bounce. Overall, I have been very disappointed with our punt and kick return game so far.

I can see him playing a little bit to try and get some rust off and then having the bye week to rest and recover. I'm sure that knee is gonna be sore after his first game action in over 9 months.

Agree 100% on RBs lacking vision. It comes with experience, but that is exactly what made Ryan Williams so great, coupled with his balance of course.

Is anyone else getting a kick out of how ghetto yet effective the whole "waiving the cursor over Ricky before the snap to show people where he is" thing is?

I still just have to believe we are practicing pass protection much more than run blocking. All of your points make a whole lot of sense, though.

No worries man. Agree to disagree on that.

Agree that passing game was terrible due to #allthedroppedballs, however calling the entire game a disaster is a tad hyperbolic when compared to a 63-0 beatdown. That's when words like disaster, destruction, destroyed, etc should be used.

Breaking News: Jim Tressel asked the NCAA to add 15 years to the "show cause" penalty attached to him.

Yep, Gayle and Maddy were running over full-on. Luckily for the UNC player, the ref was able to stop them. An incensed James Gayle is scary enough, then you add Maddy in there...

their rugby sucks too, our intern last summer was from mary washington and he was all about the fact that mary washington college had beaten uva at rugby. granted, it's only club level but still loluva.
