That's the magical #5 QB jersey. We had a pretty good one here not too long ago making plays like that. :-)

ACC Network was MyTV 4 in upstate NY for me. Looked good.

Edit: Local talk radio station in Albany (similar to WNIS-790 in the 757) appears to be the local Syracuse IMG network.

i was completely blindsided by how awesome that was...i live in arizona now and that made me really miss the 'burg.

It was also the first collegiate game for MANY of our starting offense and defensive positions. Especially at skill positions and they have arguably played Bama tougher than almost anyone else this season. We got beat fairly badly but no where close to a disaster. A disaster is a 63-0 ass whipping by FSU.

At the end, the kid looks at someone, I can only imaginehe's thinking, damn dad, why can't we be Hokies?

Any statistics guys on here? Or science types? Doesn't "trend" require more than one bad season (see: LOLUVA)?

Exit 7? I was there Friday night (high school bye week). We planned to do Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster, but they had already ended the promotion and we ended up going across the street for Outbacks unlimited shrimp thing.

I like the perspective given here, and reinforces the defensive turnaround we saw late last year:

Virginia Tech has still not allowed an opponent to top 400 yards in a game since last year's UNC game, a streak of 13 games. In today's era of explosive offenses, that's pretty impressive.

As to the blocked extra point, I don't know if it's anyone's fault, but as soon as I saw the defender in the air I thought (almost out loud) "that's getting blocked." He got some AIR. It seemed like there was something about how the holder took the snap, as well, like maybe it was late.

I'm pretty positive you're in the seats directly behind me right above the walkway in north. I will be looking out for ya on saturday!

Don't ever ever EVER drink the New Belgium coconut curry hefe. It's like drinking curry powder with a little beer in the background. Disgusting. I ended up chugging so I didn't have to taste because well, college.

the east was chanting A$$ hole at the guy, frankly I dont have much of a problem with it, the guy deserved it for such piss poor sportsmanship. He deserved to get ejected for it and frustrated or not you dont do that

"We have to be realistic. Only HC's we can get are from MAC or CUSA" - Yosemite Sam

who would have thought that username 'Yosemite Sam' would be the most realistic guy on there. only coach taking that job is one who thinks hes moving up in the conference ranks

This is classic loluva here. Decent brand of football? I can only assume hes talking about Nike

The lack of a running game has to be combo of issues. Lots of injuries on the O-line causing a lack of continuity. The size/quality of our O-line, especially on the interior is not overwhelming, though I believe those guys are playing their hearts out. Our RB's either lack experience or do not have great vision at finding the cutback lanes. Our style of running with so many read options is slow to develop and therefore maybe easier to defend. I am not sold on Shane as a RB coach either, hope he and the staff can find some answers soon. Just my opinions, but obviously the excuse that "the other team is always crowding the box" has got to be wearing thin. Hopefully an infusion of talent over the next 2 recruiting cycles will energize the offense and give us some more success in the ground game. Meanwhile, I like the job Lefty, Grimes, et al, are doing running the offense in general, given its obvious improvement over last season.

I think that's been the difference between last year and this year for me. I'm having FUN watching this team compete where last year I was dreading something going wrong every single play. I'd love to see production from the RB's that matches what we've found in our receivers. This year I'm not resigning myself to a muddled and confused 3 and out effort by the offense if we don't hit a huge play on 1st or 2nd down. For now, I'll take it and hope the offense will expand and improve on their performance the 2nd half of the season and next year.

Just ask yourself, "What would Sam Rogers do?"

That just opens up 6 lane-wide highways of clarity on pretty much everything.
