They definitely would. But I don't see FSU making it through the entire season with just 1 loss. I know everyone is incredibly high on them after what they did to Maryland, but Winston still forces the ball way too much. They just haven't played a defense that can make him pay for those throws yet. UF definitely can and even Miami might be able to. I think they're gonna lose to Clemson so those other two will decide it.
Sitting in the east stands about halfway up at the north 40, it looked like he got close but definitely didn't make contact.
That scenario greatly favors FSU, since they would have 1 loss to Clemson. Assuming they beat UF, I would have to believe a 1 loss FSU would be above a 2-loss VT team.
So he mentioned something about Nov. 30 in this video. Us Hokie faithful need to give him a taste of Lane even on the road. I just hope their 3rd down D doesnt show up...

Only if the next highest ACC team is in the top 14 I think. That could very well be us. Imagine we lose the ACCCG to Clemson and they are going to the MNC. We would only have losses to the #1 and #2 ranked teams. Hard to keep a team like that out of the top 14.
from what I was able to put together from actually seeing the punch being thrown and then the build up from the replay is this...tyrel and the unc guy were locked up in a block, the unc guy was pushing tyrel's helmet off, and when tyrel finished his block and took the guy down his helmet came off as well, then the unc guy jumped back up and swung at tyrel (from my point of view which was the middle of the NEZ) he didn't really come close to hitting him. Not 100% sure on that though
Oh yea, definitely. Especially after yesterday. The visit seemed to go great.
He seems to have become really close (or maybe he already was) to all the other VT guys. He's been interacting a lot with Reavis, Edmunds, Walker, Stroman and Payton on twitter. Oh Billy Ray reached out to him too.
dayum!!!
pretty solid prediction

I like our chances though.
Interview with Melvin Keihn before the visit yesterday. Says he will take all 5 official visits before making a decision.

We'll definitely get at Least 2 BCS teams this year. Assuming Clemson wins the ACCCG (I think that's a pretty fair assumption right now) they will have a chance to play for the title. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong here) that the OB is obligated to take ACC runner up in the event that the ACC Champ goes to NCG. That means that probably either VT or Miami will end up in the OB after losing ACCCG if Clemson goes to NCG. If FSU manages to lose only to clemson they'll probably get an invite to Sugar Bowl or Rose Bowl.
Hey, it could happen!
haha, he is still a newb, he'll figure out your humor soon.
The thumbs up looks so awkward, guess he figured he would do that over a cartwheel though.
Oregon held CU to 0 for 15. I'd say that puts them well ahead in the conversation for #Best3rdDownConversionDefenseEver
The result: The Buckeyes won 40-30 and covered the spread.
That, kids, is why you dont gamble on sports.
That is a perfect recap of the six pick and glad that it is all for fun.
We will have a conference question to contend with at some point. If by the ACCCG Clemson is still undefeated and #2, it would probably be best for them to win. Granted, I hate that fact, especially since they have way too many games from us recently, but that would put an ACC team in the national title game. Anyway, just a conflict.
Wonder if there would be a chance for the ACC to get two BCS games again?
Turkey leg for the seismology/geology reference.
In response to #2) Umm... UVA held Ball State to 5-14 on 3rd down, that's only 35% which puts them at 26% for the year (8th overall). #Best3rdDownConversionDefenseEver
If I were a stud HS defensive recruit, I too would take all my official visits and not commit until close to signing day. Then I would sign with VT, the best defensive tradition in modern football.
I would imagine the 2012 Pitt game would be much greater motivator than being unranked. Furthermore, I would have to believe they feel like they're the best team in the ACC, so until they're ranked higher than Clemson, the low ranking will still be a motivational factor. Congrats to the team, they deserve to be ranked.
I especially like how literal this statement is.
We WOULD take either one if they wanted to come.

There is no guarantee that the bowl that loses an MNCG team has to pick from the same conference. They generally do, if such a team is eligible for an at-large position (top-14 with 9 wins), but it's not guaranteed. The selection procedure is here:
