psst ... ucla played last night already.

Nobody knows what exactly will happen in the future so it's just a guess. But a educated guess that makes sense. I mean he's enrolling early in the spring so there's a possibility that he comes in and blows everyone away and wins the job as a true freshman. But I think most people assume that Leal will start next year and so rather than burning Ford's redshirt to be a 2nd or 3rd string, just redshirt him and have Bucky and Motley as your backups in whatever order.
Then for the 2015 season, have a full on QB competition between Motley, Bucky and Ford.

Motley probably doesn't get much love since he wasn't a highly touted QB recruit like Hodges and Ford but he seemed solid during the open practices.
Really looking toward the future QB competitions and see who wins out. Don't care who wins, as long as they win us games.

UVA's current TE is a QB convert as well. From what I've seen he's the only decent player on their offense.

Wait this kid is a 2014 commit right? Is he officially redshirting, or just your guess?

I can agree. Georgia typically comes up with another loss, and who wants to see tOSU lay another egg in the BCS championship?

I agree, and think the UNC circus is turning into a disaster this year. Would they fire Fedora mid-season if he starts 1-5? I would expect he would at least start firing coaches, starting on the defensive side.

Nice to see them wasting talent down in Chapel Hill like their cousins up in Hooville.

But remember, that was the FORMER offensive coaching staff.

Hate to point this out, but Heath Miller did that at UVA, and he turned out pretty well. In fact, he killed us in 2003, the last time UVA beat us.

It shouldn't bother me but it kills me to hear Chokie like it's the only thing they have on VT. I always mention how they choked in their biggest game in quite a few years vs. VT in 2011.

It's interesting that the mothership couldn't give our D credit at the time for playing bama the way we did, but five weeks into the season, they're suddenly discovering how well our guys did. Nothing like timely analysis.

Per 247sports' Steve Helwagen

UNC is a dismal 1-3, while Virginia Tech is a sparkling 4-1 after a win at Georgia Tech. UNC won 48-34 at home last year. Virginia Tech 31-21

I'd be thrilled with that score and it is possible if the defense and special teams contribute to that, but I think it could be a little more lower scoring, in the 24-17 or 24-21 range.

I think I found the Belly Hammer they sing about after the game... Or is it yellow jammer or something lol

Do T-shirts get offered in their benefit packages???

ugh

By French (#TeamPie), Mason (recently bought an iPhone 4s), Joe (#TeamCake), and joelestra (number cruncher)

I'll leave the strategy discussion to smart people. Joe, you should know better than to bring up dessert arguments:

#TeamPie #TeamCake
Delicious crust Can eat more of it
Impossible to have too much icing Icing breaks up monotony
Pizza pies! Ice Cream and Cheesecakes!
Can have meat (savory pies) Can be made in to cupcakes
Apple, Cherry, Pumpkin, Oreo, Lemon Meringue, Key Lime, Pecan, Blueberry, Rhubarb, French Silk, Peach, Peanut Butter, Reese's Cup Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Lemon, Angelfood, Black Forest Cherry, Pound, Coffee, Pineapple Upside-Down, Spice, Red Velvet, Rum

I'll put myself in #TeamCake, if only for the red velvet and angelfood. Twee-er-reet, twee-er-reet, flame war go

Made some changes- move Ford to starting QB, Alston Smith to offense, added Kalvin Cline
