I just want to say that on some days, all I want is a good apple pie with lattice cover a la mode. Other days I may want chocolate chess pie. Some days I want a really rich chocolate lava cake.
Pie is a little more versatile - mint lamb pie anyone?
Cake has it's benefits too. I've just been in more of a pie mood recently (it's fall).

I very much hope this happens. I don't like cheaters.
I get a little bit of angst with these as I'm never sure if I should click the Roanoke link, or the Norfolk link.
As live in South Carolina, neither one is particularly closer, or more convenient.
I do feel more connected with Roanoke, as I went to VT, and have been there a couple of times-(had to drop off some girl to the airport), but by the same token, I visited a college friend in Norfolk once and took an interview at ODU for graduate school. I didn't go there, so maybe that's why I don't feel as connected and was clicking the Roanoke link. But then I think of 'ROANOKE' carved into the tree by the early settlers before they up and disappeared so that gives me pause; like I might disappear too.
So I'm stuck.

At least they said we have actually been tested on defense, unlike the other teams. Except for Western Carolina, each team we've played has been a high power offense that we have held in check and given our team a chance to win.

How have cookies not been brought up yet? Much like the sandwich is the best form of food, the cookie is the superior dessert due to it's sheer versatility.
- It is eaten more portably than cake or pie.
- You can literally throw anything dessert related into cookie batter. (Speaking of batter, you can even eat cookies raw. Have you ever considered eating raw cake or pie?)
- You can give someone cookies without having to later retrieve a pie tin or cake plate.
- All cake and pie flavors mentioned in this thead have cookie analogs.
- Cookies can even be used to make sandwiches, a Sam Rogers-level of awesomeness.
- There is no cake or pie monster.
- And most importantly, you can secretly eat more cookies than other desserts. Everyone notices if you have a second slice of cake or pie. Eating extra cookies is much less conspicuous.
