Very good question. I understand Lewis had a very good visit to Tech, but there are a couple of factors at play -
1. I think we're waiting to see how the offer plays out to WR Kendrick Holland - if he verbals, I think we may be done for recruiting WRs in the 2014 Class;
2. Lewis has a personal issue that has caused most schools to back away. Here's the latest news and past history of the case - I don't know how that is being viewed by the Tech coaching staff and/or the school admins -

I just always figured she trashed the ACC in it's entirety. I don't want to sound like the paranoid homer who thinks she ONLY hates VT because SURELY she hates the WHOLE conference...but damn!

Skipper, I am glad you apologized for the stupid comment you made earlier with out knowing facts. The truth is that Duan Perez-Means mentallity is just as strong as anyones on the team. The kid bust his behind for four years, so don't tell me who or what this kid is if you have not had the opportunity to know him. Secondly in spite of what the coaches may have you believe D.P.M didnot leave soley for personal reasons. Here is wisdom donot believe everything you hear and read. You should know that they control the media and will tell you what they want you to know, and it is not always the truth.

I'm guessing a lot of us do not pay attention to the national previews. Because no national preview had VT winning (at least all the one's I read/heard). Hell, even Bitter and and some of the other Hokie beat writers predicted VT would not win this one. Vegas thought GT was a TD favorite. Yea, hokie fans knew it was possible, but hokie fans also wear the O&M glasses (like me). I'm not saying bleacher report is good journalism, but I will defend the fact that outside the Hokie landscape, "nobody saw this coming." - Except maybe Phil Steele, but he's a genius.
Man its gonna be fun to watch her flip the hell out as we continue our ACC run. I predict she will become ever more shrill as the Miami game approaches.
Why no offer to that Roger Lewis kid? I understand ratings don't always mean a whole lot, but 4 star with 4.42 speed seems like a solid pickup to me. He looks like a burner on his highlight on youtube and housed at least a few kick offs.

hmm..., I think you're going to see a change in recruiting blueprint from the hokies, with a heavy focus on B1G country. Will they get up to Detroit and the rest of Michigan, probably not. But they do seem to want to recruit Western PA, Ohio and Indiana more, which makes any game against the B1G a "big" draw with recruits.
yeah he lost me with the no one saw it coming line and the stuff about our offense being the same this year...(Alert) our offense is getting better against better teams the end of the season is going to be very telling about our offensive direction barring any major injuries.

I think they only go to Neutral Site games if VT is considered the "Home" team, which they were at Bama, FedEx 3 years ago, and a few other games, while last year's FedEx game Cincy was the "Home" team. And for away games I think either they have to be invited, or it's also an agreement on what Athletics thinks I believe.
Speaking of loluva, I really wanted to watch them get beat by Pittsburgh today :( I guess I won't get to since espn3 is a no go.
