+1 to get you off of 666, don't need an evil horse around here.
Defensively, Georgia Tech runs a similar system to Marshall. Ted Roof runs a 4-3 built around attack gaps and lots of designed blitzes. His defensive line is small and fast (their nose tackle is around 270.)
I did not get to see the UNC game (I did as much work on the film review in advance with work travel completely screwing me this week) other than bits and pieces. I think we can bully their front, but with Edmunds possibly not being effective because of his hip injury, I am a bit worried. This is a game where the power running game (including the veer and trap game from the spread) could really put Roof's defense at a disadvantage. He likes variable looks, and quick hitting straight ahead power football like what the Hokies used last week will force Roof out of all the blitzes that he likes to incorporate.
It looks like Coleman might be a go for tonight...
Felt good to finally be myself today! Can't wait till Thursday!! #blessed— J.C. Coleman (@jc_coleman4) September 25, 2013
Where is it?? I live at the lake and have been wondering this for quite some time.
Is it wrong that the VT makes her look more attractive to me?
That is the game I remember being the loudest, too...and then suddenly the quietest.
Seriously though, the fans brought it the whole game. That last drive I thought my ears were going to burst.
My condolences Doctor. Always helps to have that Angel on your shoulder. I.E. Rocky.
This shocked me.
Virginia Tech hasn't scored more than two offensive touchdowns in regulation against an FBS opponent since last year's Duke game.

So many great lines in that movie
"No way! Every qb doesn't have to be an asshole like Philip Rivers or Tom Brady?? I thought WRs would only play for you if they feared an impending hissy-fit would occur if they screwed up!" <- that Hokie fan, apparently.
I don't blame you for waiting for somebody to unlock Surge (only since it was for an exam)
but the walls are made of paper. You could get in with a pocket knife
I was thinking the same thing. Our backup DTs worry me only because they haven't played against them. In one of your clips with us against GT, our line was Gayle, Marshall, D. Hopkins, and T. Wilson and that was 2 years ago.
Edit: It was JR Collins, not Marshall playing DT. My mistake.
Unfortunately, end of month means a lot of busy work, but I fully intend to go in a little late tomorrow, one way or the other. Also unfortunately, I'll either be too excited to actually do said work, or too sullen to do said work.
That being said, GO HOKIES! Wreck the Wreck!
Great point. I was thinking the same thing last weekend when someone asked about Logan's "intangibles." He'll occasionally get in someone's face about something, but it's rare. He remains even-keel, even when the game is on the line. Avoiding "high highs" and "low lows" is, I think, one of the greatest qualities of leadership. The team will follow his example, especially in clutch situations.
I am personally very scared that there are so many people that think leadership is pointing the finger and getting in peoples faces. The most important part of being a leader is being steadfast in the face of opposition. If you cannot be the rock in which your team depends - then you are no leader. Set the example, be steady, and hold yourself to the highest possible standard. These are true leadership qualities. Me thinks the Frankinator has seen some good examples in his short stint in football - maybe we should take his word on this.
I was totally expecting this on our Nth and goal at the 1 near the end of the game.
MacKenzie McHokie, I love it!
I don't know but it's too perfect to be anyone besides one of our own. If I had access to everyone's posting history since the start of the season we'd be able to figure out which one of us had a dramatic decline in our posting rate two days ago. I also think Mama is the fastest-turkey-legged user in history.
I'll stipulate. Simply because I like my life.
We were really really loud when we thought Wilford caught the ball...
Then we got really really quiet
I had GT marked on my calendar the moment I saw that we had 4 days to prepare. I don't care who the opponent is, 4 days to prepare just isn't enough, we saw it happen when we played JMU on a short week. But the ACC really did us dirty by scheduling the one team you absolutely need that extra week to prepare for! In any case, this defense is going to have to play extremely well, disciplined and will have to make every tackle. GT gets yards in a hurry and they always have wrinkles that scare me. It is a beautiful offense but I hate being on the receiving end.
Repeating of course.
Personally one of the loudest moments I can remember was when Dyrell Roberts returned the kickoff against Alabama in '09.
Its time to grab a can of Raid, some pesky yellow jackets need to be dealt with!
