Not sure about the exact process but the athletic dept purchases ABC licenses for donor lots with a portion of the parking revenue. It would be challenging for bball because of the limited amount of donor parking.

I was once watching an away game (I can't for the life of me remember which one, it was several years ago) with a couple of friends and on a critical third down late in the game, without saying anything, we all pulled out our keys and started shaking them. Drive stopped, keys away, and back to the drinks. I have awesome friends.

No, nothing like that, just that I'm watching with friends or roommates, and I get the feeling that they'd find making noise at the tv to be odd behavior.

the money thing is a legit deterrent when the team is so down. i love vt hoops but it they were selling tix for 15 or 20 bucks i'd prolly come down more than once or twice a season.
Ok here is JC Shurburtt's response to the article:
"If he doesn't enroll early, I think Virginia Tech has a realistic chance to sway McKenzie. They've gone from not confident to confident in a short amount of time."
I trust Shurburtt way more than the writer of this article.
