Watched a bit of the GT/UNC game, and that helped ease some of my nervousness. Offensively, GT is solid, and even when they run some of the stuff that we haven't seen, I think Bud's got this. Defensively, they leave some nice seam routes open (if we can hit them) and I think we can exploit some underneath crossing routes (again, if we can hit them). They're solid against the run, but we may be able to get something on the edge, especially with JCC or Mangus. UNC didn't seem to want to try to exploit them there, and it looked like they could have gotten to the edge on quite a few plays. So, I've edged back from "get the rolaids" to "sweaty palms".

You forgot to factor in the ESPN coefficient. The ESPN coefficient can be any number you want, applied any way you see fit; so it actually makes perfect sense.

This is actually the first encouraging point that I've read. Why? Because I'm not worried about our defense...they'll do their job. But as Foster pointed outed, this is GT...they WILL gain yards and score points. Maybe we'll get a defensive score (or two please), but this game hinges on our offensive performance...they have to score more points than GT. If we can control their Dline, we have a shot.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm screaming at the TV (with my inner voice - no use unduly frightening the family!) when LT misses a wide open receiver, or throws to the wrong receiver, or a receiver in double coverage. But let's be fair, How many of his receivers have dropped balls, run bad routes, failed to fight for a jump ball, or just plain quit running?

I think my sarcasm was missed in my comment. My mention of the 3OT game was to make the point that people who don't understand why that game was tough are stupid. I guess my down vote was because it would appear I don't understand football? Thanks though.

If I were a Tech player, I would feel disrespected. Almost everybody is a predicting a GT win and some are predicting a blowout against a team that you have beaten 3 straight years and I believe 7 out of the last 9. I hope they come out with fire and grab an early lead and never look back from that point. GO HOKIES!

Some on the old ESPN chose to make some rather tasteless remarks about a certain infamous spring day in VT history. They all seemed to root for wvu, not that that means for certain they went there.
