I can't remember what year it was, but one year recently we were number one. They don't just pull decibels from the field, they do averages over a few tests of different games. I think the year we were number one was the year we had about 3 night games, including the Thursday night game.

Stadium capacities (per Wikipedia)

5. Lane Stadium - 66,233
4. Camp Randall - 80,321
3. Kyle Field - 82,589
2. Autzen Stadium - 60,055
1. Tiger Stadium - 92,542

Autzen's listed capacity is 54,000 but their Wikipedia page lists their record attendance levels and the top ten are all over 59,000, so I'm listing their capacity at their record attendance. Impressive for Autzen and Lane to be in there with stadiums that have more than 15,000 more people than we do. Tiger Stadium has 26,000 more people than us.

No. 5: Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech, 66,233 capacity

No. 4: Camp Randall Stadium, Wisconsin, 80,321 capacity

No. 3: Kyle Field, Texas A&M 82,589 capacity

No. 2: Autzen Stadium, Oregon 54,000 capacity

No. 1: Tiger Stadium, LSU 92,542 capacity

We would probably be louder if the students would show up and we scored 70 points a game like Oregon

When I watch for it with them, I'm watching the movement of the center and his arms compared to those around him. I've also noticed times when the CENTER begins to move before snapping the ball, but it's so close in real time, it seems it would be easy to miss on the field.

Dude, this made me spit take my coffee. Big +1 bro.

Ha! Near simultaneous posts... Glad I wasn't the only one seeing it. Feel like I am taking crazy pills when I watch their OL jump over and over again.

Related to Baltimore's comment... I feel like I see a false start on about 50% of GT's snaps. ACC refs are bad, but I know they aren't missing it that often. Is it possible that the ball is snapped (pretty much invisible to the TV audience if the QB is under center, as GT usually is on the option plays), and then the QB holds it and stays motionless for a beat before progressing with the play? I don't know why this would be advantageous, but it's the only thing I can think of, since it usually looks like the Guards and Tackles are already charging forward prior to the QB making any moves.

Have you noticed this French (or any other's knowledgeable in the ways of football)?

Better drinking game:

Whenever the announcers say "Tech scores", or "Tech (insert action here)" without stating WHICH Tech did it...drink.

Just saw it live. Sorry that I am not technically capable of taping it and reposting. The comments were generally positive, so you know that it is all about not undermining the appeal of Thursday's game. David Pollack gave his assessment of Logan--highlighting his early progress and his more recent woeful stats. Much was attributed to Logan having an overhauled offense to work with...new coordinator...ineffective receivers...etc, etc., but it was acknowledged that Logan does not appear to be very polished at this point. Then, the topic switched to GT and are they for real at 3-0. So, overall, this was just a promo for the game disguised as analysis.

Zoom in on the face, then zoom in on the eyes, and you've got yourself a little Ferris Bueller's Day Off going on.

Make it a series where it's wide shot...scared opponent, closer shot...scared opponent, and then on the last one with just the eyes, the back side of the opponent with soiled pants photoshopped in.

They all look the same...

Also, what the hell is he doing in the free space picture? I've never seen him make that face. He's bearing his teeth...it's a sign of aggression!! QUICK, KILL IT WITH FIRE!!

I'm always amazed that GT doesn't get more False Start penalties. There are many times I see them from up top, see a guard or tackle move before the ball is snapped, but just BARELY, and enough to make me wonder if I actually saw them go before the ball or not.

I remember when PJ just got there and implemented the system...false starts everywhere, but far more obvious.

I'm sure that as much as we value French, the average coaching staff isn't coming to our site to get any kind of help....well, maybe one...
