It's bitchin'
BC - but in the end, we all lose with this being televised.
Da U - Might be the only time this year we all don't have to watch how the seat cover tarps react to a big play.
Oregon - I hear those guys are fast.
South Carolina - What's the over/under for Spurrier going shirtless?
OU - Sorry, cousins.
Michigan - Why is ESPN crying over this series ending? If the series started less than 20 yrs ago...not a rivalry, in my opinion.
Feel more confident with this week's picks than last. Which is good, since I went 1-5 last week. Probably just locked myself into 0-6 with all this confidence talk. On to the picks...

This can't be right. Hokiesports.com has a depth chart dated 5 Sept. that does not show Rody.
Expect a large amount of thunder to be coming in from the VT defensive line.
Partly cloudy with a high probably of storms raining down on the Catamounts. Expect to see some lightning strikes and a few rainbows from LT. Can't come up with any better weather metaphors at the moment. Anyone else?
I could care less about watching the Weather Channel....however, watching the Weather Channel ladies....different story....Stephanie Abrams, Crystal Egger, etc.

The things that make me curious about this entire conversation are these:
1. I find the timing of CFB bringing this up a bit odd. Was he trying to get a point across to someone?
2. Louisville was reported to have been our replacement, had the deal gone down the way ESPN desired. I find the way that it was reported by the boys from Bristol a bit suspect. I think I posted at the time that I couldn't imagine that Beamer would stand for opting out of a chance at bama. It smelled when it was originally reported, it has only ripened with time.
3. Since we turned down the mother ship on the bama pass, we were apparently relegated to a 5:30 start time, out of prime time. Was this a retaliatory strike? Was Beamer's comment meant to let ESPN know that he wasn't going to let the narrative be written by the sports leader?
4. Who was our pre-arranged bama replacement? A&M? UConn? We'd have to research who was still available in spring, or who could have dropped a game to pick us up. Where would this have been played? Neutral site? Home? Away? ESPN tried to play a shell game, only Beamer wasn't playing.
I usually try to tweet this info out on the Thurs/ Fri before the game (based on reviewing multiple weather outlets' forecasts). Get on the Twitters and we'll make sure your forecasts get spread around there too.
Saturday Forecast:
We'll start out in the morning with some nice cool temperatures. It will be perfect for a Irish Coffee or Mimosa. Later in the morning it will begin to warm, but the winds should stay down, leadning to some exciting corn hole action. It shouldn't be too humid allowing all you Hokies out there to get the charcoal and cigars going easily. As we get close to kickoff I expect perfect conditions for burbon drinking and beer shotgunning. From 1:30 to around 4:30 expect a high chance of Fuller Hits, Edmunds Runs, and Sam Rogers distruction.
Saturday evening should be perfect for a night of RAILS!!!
Meh I'm not big on this. Sounds like you're talking about UVA...
Going out on a limb here, but I predict that Logan Thomas will be replaced starting next season.
Andy Bitter said this more or less in his chat today but I think it's important here too.
This whole sellout streak is being overplayed. It's already somewhat fudged, I mean let's be honest, we haven't had a packed house for 93 straight games, we just sold the tickets.
I'm not saying it doesn't matter to me, because it does a bit. But this game is about Ws and Ls and we didn't do that whole W thing as much as we normally do last year. I don't blame fans for not coming out to WCU this week.
I know it's hard for us here to understand this, but not everyone is as passionate for Hokie Football as we are and they just aren't willing to spend hundreds of dollars to travel into Blacksburg to watch what should be a rout, and if it's not a rout they'd just be paying to watch a subpar performance.
Obviously we all realize there's more to it than just wanting a W or exciting game. We love it for the excuse to come to Blacksburg, the tailgating, Enter Sandman, seeing players that don't get to play much...I could go on.
The point is that this isn't a big deal. Let's go #BEATWCU this weekend and enjoy the weekend.
I've always just written the weather off as magic.
How do I know I am getting old? I am in love with the women of the Weather Channel. Jen Carfagno, you complete me.
Dat face.
Yeah, Roanoke would be extremely convenient.
Honestly, from down here I would even consider stopping over in Charlotte and then driving the remaining 2.5 or so hours to the game, especially if it's a day game.
I think this person has a little mama giraffe in em...
Don't apologize. That's a pretty good catch...which I'm sure French would appreciate. Turkey leg for you.

this. this. a million times this.
