I'm not sure if a college team can handle as much multiplicity within an offense, but the Redskins mixed in some triple option the past season without making it much of a feature. I think the Cincinnati game saw it used the most, I guess based on how they thought the could attack the defense. So I could see it turning up occasionally for the Hokies, especially if Loeffler thinks it can spring Edmunds for more 77 yarders. If we can successfully implement power runs, option football, backfield shenanigans, and have receivers hold onto the ball, this offense could get scary in a hurry.

Best reply in the thread!

I have to say I am genuinely conflicted about my aspirations for UVA in hot-seat seasons like this one.

One of my great fears a few years ago when we lost Al "The Fightin' Fannypack" Groh (Virginia Tech's 12th man for the better part of a decade) was that UVA might actually find a decent coach who could resuscitate their program. Thankfully, I was wrong and not only has Mike London (AKA The Crying Time-Out Crime-Fighter) literally worked MIRACLES for Tech in ways no one here could have predicted (I mean seriously, where did that 4th quarter time-out come from last year?!), his continuance of that time-honored UVA tradition of mediocrity with decent talent fills my heart with a warmth rivaled only by Wild Turkey Single Barrel. On top of that, Coach Sweater-Tuck went on to sabotage GT for a glorious half a season (and he picked the right half of that season, too)!

So, in response, I want UVA to do just well enough each weekend to keep Coach Kleenex in his current position in his mind-glowingly average football program. But hey, given what Senor Fannypack accomplished when freed of said program, maybe I can root for Oregon all the way after all.

Fuck it. Send London to Clemson next.

O- 62, UVA-10.

Go Birds.

FLYING V!!!!!!

I think that could be deserving. I never see Sam ever putting up impressive stats, but I think his attitude and hard work could make him a senior captain. Not to mention he's gonna clear a lot of running lanes the next 4 years.

Try FirstRowSports.eu I usually go there to watch any untelevised game including NFL and UFC.

Yeah, the thought crossed my mind that the WR issues may have been a partial result of the fast installation of most of the offense in fall practice. A lot of material in a short amount of time. That kind of thing has a way of tying player's feet up by thinking too much. Even so, when the ball hits you in the hands, you should catch it.

Use VTPhreak's blog for a feed. It worked great for me down here in Honduras where there is no contract with ESPN. He posted the connection for the bama game and I suspect he will do it for every game this season.

Does anyone know if there will be a live-streaming of this game? I have Centurylink as my provider so ESPN3 is a no-go for me. Radio isn't good enough either, I must be able to watch the game.

EDIT: Sorry to bump this thread to the top, I didn't see the other!

I went on to Hokiesports and counted all of the unsold seats haha 1,297......about 1,000 of which were in the WCU stands

Partial to the shoulder stripes here. Greys were waay too generic.

He's a fullback though, he's not going to get that many more carries. (He should though. Like his running)

Only on one carry though. Once he starts getting more carries his yardage will go way up, trust me.

The improvement of our OL probably helped the DL progress a lot of faster during August practices. Not just the starters but the second string and scout team should do a much better job giving our defense quality reps, which is night-and-day from a year ago.
