God, I wish we still had FSU on our schedule this year...
To be honest, as good of a game the kid had, Pitts secondary looked flat out BAD. Our D line would pose nightmares for that kid.
I don't think we'll see FSU in the ACCCG this year, we'll be going up againt Clemson...

Yeah of course give the kid credit he made pretty much every throw he was asked to. However, his receivers did bail him out of a couple errant throws and Pitt's Defense pretty much rolled over and died after the first half. He's definitely going to be good down the road but we've seen "great" performances before so let's save it until maybe their Clemson game.

The only reason they get studs is because the studs don't want to have any competition for a spot in the two deep from day one. At VT they would have to fight to get on the field not LOLUVA.

I'm actually feeling better about our O-Line this year, and therefore our running attack. I really like what our new coaching staff is doing with this team.

if it looks like it wont be a sell out im sure some booster will buy up the last of them just to make it an official sell out. ive been to plenty of games that were official sell outs but the south endzone looked empty

To be honest, that kid has a serious knack for temper tantrum. You could see after FSU was slapped with a delay of game and the announcers began speaking about how he drew a lot of flags in high school for his temper.
I think it'll eventually come to the forefront as his weakness. If a team can put serious pressure and blanket receivers, it'll cause him to self-destruct.
But other than that, the kid's amazing. Everyone's got a weakness though.

2: pitts defense is bad
3: fsu runs a very user friendly offense. As soon as they face a defense that disguises its looks, their qbs always struggle

Point is he is good, but how much was it just his receivers balling out? Lets wait a few more games and see. Remember, jacory harris was a heisman contender for the first 5 games of his 24 int season

I really like this kind of a breakdown, thanks for posting it! It's amazing that there could be so many drops or bad routes like that. It looks like almost every pass went to Coles or Knowles, who just weren't able to get the job done. I'd love to see some of our younger guys step up as the season progresses. It's early though, so maybe this will be a good lesson for the 2 of them and they'll use this as motivation! Get em Hokies!

We certainly didn't embarrass ourselves. Anybody that actually watched the game and didn't just look at the final score should see this. We looked damn good at times. Sure, I would have liked for the score to have been closer, but without two kick returns its a different game. Had our receivers caught some balls, we could have been laying an ass whipping on them. One day the luck will go our way in the big game, we certainly deserve it, but I see the future as being very bright for this team.
Ford will be here next fall.
uva defense actually played well in first game. I think uva loses but maybe not as bad as we want lol
