From what I have read the only way he can get his extra year is by receiving a medical redshirt. You can only redshirt twice if the first instance was out of your control, i.e. injury of some sort. Because the coaches redshirted exum, that was a controlled decision and thus he is not available for the medical redshirt.
Now, if this is regarding something else entirely, I suppose it's possible. But there are a lot of guys getting injured in their senior season that don't come back...chase minnefield comes to mind here.
That play was an absolute clinic! Perfect positioning. Made sure to not interfere (or have his hand in position the red could consider it). Just beautiful. I replayed it about 20 times and was as impressed the last time as I was the first. Kid has skills!
As far as guys with a good reputation for running, I'd disagree. Druck and Clark were both better at the natural feel for when to keep or pitch although slower.
Not really about the receivers but...every time I watch that Kyle Fuller pass breakup (7:46 on the video) I can't help thinking about just how great he's going to be this season.

I don't know. I think LSU has more depth. For us, any more injuries could cause serious problems. Still good to see the unit cohesion at a high level.

Seriously! I had forgotten about that. They played it before the game on the video board in the dome. The stadium got quiet and you could feel everyone waiting for it...and it never happened. Probably the worst part of the game experience. Although, some of Alabama's scoring plays stung a little too.

French thanks for the write up...I learned a whole bunch from the first section about how Loeffler used the option read to confuse the defense...It makes me feel very hopeful that we now have an offensive coach atleast good enough to game plan around taking away and opponents strengths and can execute other offenses as needed.
Just to tack on to your comment It looked like in the last 5 minutes of the 4th when both teams were in burn time mode Leal and the offense seemed to be running some proset and the blocking looked pretty good and we got pretty good yardage from that. I am assuming it was Bama 2nd d against Hokie 2nd o. I wonder if next week Hokie 1st o doesnt run more power I.
