He was the best corner at the end of last year. And can be the best we have this yea and That's where he will play at the next level
You must had forgotten the Miami game last November. Thomas did lot of sliding in that game after picking up first downs.
to be honest, dont forget how shaky exum was a cb to start last season. i still like him better as a safety than at corner and think he would be better suited than bonner, but i do not think he should start right away until he proves he has fully recovered and returned to form.
Need to improve clock management, IMO. I think he had two delay of the game or maybe just 1 and had to burn a timeout early.
I'd love if Loeffler would give us an analysis like this but he obviously wouldn't. In all fairness I think LT's play depends on one's opinion. As you know, I thought Logan was much improved over last year and poor receiver play made him look bad so I see this as more optimistic. I think you tend to look at logan through a different lens that can lead to a very different perspective. I think it's important to see both sides, but also to see where he goes from here.
The receivers were who really let the offense down in my opinion. There were several procedure penalties that weren't called and a few that were. I think DJ looked scared when running across the middle, especially on the pick-6 play--he looked right at Sunseri and watched him run by him. Against WCU I would like to see the younger guys come out and get a lot of playing time but at the same time I would feel awkward about abandoning DJ and Demitri as they are the best 'athletes.' But as someone previously said, the best players should be playing regardless...Anyways, thanks for this post.
well Facyson will probably be the starter next year so it won't be that bad for him
It's taking all my self restraint to not say that the TE was under center pretending to be QB. All of it.
Yeah, I think it was Fowler or they both were saying similar things about our 'D'.
for those of you in the dmv area, cameron phillips and dematha are playing on espn right now
Johnny went 6 of 8 for 3 TDs in less that a half of play. Yes, it was in fact against Rice, but the kid is not slowing down right now. Also. A&M was missing 6 starters (supposedly) on defense, which may help explain the 31 points given up.
yeah I know in the end these are just his opinions and perspective on the plays and those will differ a bit. I dont know enough about football to ever analyze like this lol

WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO...BUT...if you take away even half the drops and poor route running and the special team blunders, things which are usually not as much of an issue for teams in most games (D1 WR's usually do not have that many drops and many games go without any non-offensive TD's, much less 3) then we have a ball game. A game that would've been nearly even and possibly could've gone either way down the stretch. The fact that our D stayed that strong despite having the wind knocked out of them 3 times, is spectacular. Bama won, but they didn't 100% outplay us. We beat ourselves more than they beat us, which is not what I would have expected coming in if we were going to lose. And if you say that is a lot of ifs or that Bama forced those issues, then why were most Bama fans not happy with a 25 point win as they should be? And why did Alabama still get criticized with a 25 point win? Because anyone who watched the game knows that we had mental mistakes that helped Bama. And that our defense is really special or Alabama's offense isn't what everyone thought it would be.
For good measure I would add in Luther Maddy as well. Picked up as an after thought while going for Dadi and he is an absolute beast and a stud. I was impressed with how gaga the announcers were for him and Hop. They just could not say enough good stuff about them. Essentially pointing out how they were the FOIL to Clowney in that they were not slowing down or taking plays off.
Here's some respect. Seth28 sent this over a couple days ago and asked me to post, but I didn't get it until now:

A few weeks ago I still saw him walking around with a significant limp. As someone who has previously tore their acl, you should not be limping 8-9 months post-op. At that point you should be close to 100%. I just hope we don't have unreasonable expectations once he returns.
Next man up.
Every TKP shirt that is sold should have the key logo on the top middle of the back near the collar. That way, anyone sitting behind anyone can tell where we're at.
What the...? I don't even...
Turkey leg anyway?
Yeah. Sitting in my basement watching it happen, I let out an 'Ohhhh sh!t' when he deflected that pass. As Speilman pointed out, he didn't even have his left hand on the body of the receiver. One of the best defensive plays on a ball I've seen.
I'm scared to think about this defense when Bud leaves/retires. We truly won't know what he have until it's gone.
That...is...awesome. Kinda feel sorry for the QB. He must have pissed off that right tackle in homeroom one day.
I was just going to write this. Texas A&M is not as good of a team as they were last year and I would be utterly shocked if Manziel played as well this year. Not only does he strike me as someone who would spend his free time doing anything but studying film, but you can bet that every player wants his head after all the stunts he's pulled this summer. I know if I was a player and somebody thought they were above the law, I'd sure wanna put him in his place.

You take that back...I find Heather Dinch's pieces to be informative and a refreshing breath of fresh air..
