Not arguing that. But I can't get behind a coach that teaches players how to get away with chop blocking other kids. This is what he taught at Navy and my friend is 100% positive it's what he continues to teach. No matter how brilliant he is at succeeding with the limited talent he has, I wouldn't give him any recognition for it.
They are getting love caus they are Miami. They will always get love.
This year, though, I think they WILL field a pretty good football team though. Stephen Morris and Duke Johnson are a dangerous combo.
Not TOO good, though. Every ACC team will have a chance at beating them this year, just because their defense is horrendous.
You have a valid point, but I still think Miami is the hardest of the three (Jackets, Heels, Canes). UNC isn't there yet and our this year especially, our defense will match up well against GT.
i like jade and sexual chocolate a lot. (bourbon) barrel aged sexual chocolate is on my wish list.
I am with Mason on this one. He may be a jerk, but he is a brilliant coach. Give another coach the talent he has at Georgia Tech and a normal pro-style offense, and they won't win a game. Fundamentals can still win football games, and no matter how many times the Hokies beat GT, they are always worse for wear coming out of that game.
cause she's a Nole?
Interestingly, given our current OL issues, Barron said in interview that he would move to OL if needed.

I need some bbq now. Sweet ride!
Anyone go check out the scoreboard today? Or walk by to see how far they are?
You sound like Mama Giraffe dude... Point of fact. Paul Johnson is an asshole. A friend of mine played for him at Navy and absolutely hates him, and yes he was a starter there for 3 years. While his type of offense is fun, the manner in which he predicates its success whereby he coaches borderline (and legit) chop blocks, is something I despise. If he wants to be labeled a genius by succeeding with the triple option then he should do it without coaching kids to legally hurt other kids.
Numbers, and I think there was still doubt about his ability to play defensive tackle and they had numbers. He was incredibly productive in high school as a defensive end. I am not sure that I saw him as a disruptive force in the scrimmage, but he didn't get pushed around either.
haha, i didn't expect this to be posted yet. Thought it was just saved. well, ok then.
If Wiles is so high on him, why was he grayshirted? I remember thinking it very odd when it happened and the timing when it happened meant we couldn't offer another recruit if i remember correctly.
Thought you would appreciate these photos I took.

After watching the defensive linemen, its easy to see why line coach Charley Wiles thinks highly of freshman Woody Baron, who enrolled last January. Baron isnt overly big, but he rarely stays blocked. His quickness gave Techs guards a lot of trouble in drills.
Toot toot.
In addition to that, we would have more spectators showing up than UVA had fans at their spring game.
From Hokiesports.com http://www.hokiesports.com/football/blog/20130820aaa.html
Speaking of the linemen, Wyatt Teller could end up being a great offensive tackle and the biggest reason is because hes a quick learner. During one drill, offensive line coach Jeff Grimes told him to step a certain way with his outside foot. Teller did exactly that and did a nice job in pass protection and offensive line coach Jeff Grimes immediately praised him. Thats not to say hes going to start any time soon, but the potential is limitless.
Sometimes this whole "being smart again" thing can be tough.
True story: my former roommate's brother is dating Jenn. His parents hate her.
Proof is in the pudding. This is what I have heard as well from recruits I have known. Not specifically about VT but just in general. You don't want this reputation.
Just curious, why do you Miami being such a challenge? I think UNC is by far the toughest of those games, followed by GT (road game, at night, on a short week, against the triple option). Miami had one less loss than us last year, albeit, 3 of those losses were to BCS teams, one of those losses was also to UVA. I just don't see why they're getting so much love? Their best win last year was over NC State (or maybe us).
