I don't know what it is about Big East teams, but those guys annoyed me the most. That includes when we played Cincy in the Orange Bowl and Pitt last year. I didn't go to the Russell Athletic Bowl or last year's Cincy game, but from what people said about Rutgers, it sounds like it applies to them as well. They have an inferiority complex from being in the Big East and spend more time trying to trash the opponent than support their own team. I wonder if that will change at all with Pitt in our division this year.

This is something almost impossible to judge. It really just depends on who you personally encounter.

For me, Nebraska had some great fans of course. It probably helped that we had a lot of sympathy for them the way they lost that game in 09.

I've come across some nasty fans from unc, Miami, UVA, Boise st., hell even Wake forest...etc

Every fan base has fans that disrespect and misrepresent their school. Even the hokies.

Yep, agreed on all counts. Those were the days...

I have a feeling that RW will start if he is healthy. Arians and him are both former Hokies, which really helps his case to start.

Damn government, always trying to keep a Spartan down.

I was sitting right behind the Bears bench at the Panhers' game and for what it's worth, James Anderson was warming up the entire secon half as long snapper with the punter. I'm pretty sure he even handled a couple snaps in the game but alcohol had inhibited my ability to focus at that point. Not sure if he's being looked at as a back up or if he'll be in the mix as special teams captain or something.

"Suspending" a junior player from practice is like giving him a vacation, not a punishment. If he broke team rules and doesn't miss actual playing time, it's a joke.

Agreed, I don't see the Ravens keeping 3 qbs. I also think Tyrod will be gone after this year. I think he will try to get more playing time and to finally show the NFL that he can play with the best.

Fair enough. I'm going off of vague memories from when I was 7. I'll defer to you here.

I agree. I'd be willing to bet that Bucky starts. Leal is too short to see down the field through the line, and not athletic enough like Tyrod. But who is to say that Motley isn't in the mix. He looked very much improved last Saturday. He has good size and speed. You know how we love our mobile quarterbacks.

But the thing is Logan isn't getting any money out of the sale. Manziel did. Or are you saying that Logan has been getting paid himself?

The ticket package thing almost makes me pity them. I feel sorry for the kids born in Hoo families, it's not their fault.

This is also one of my personal favorites. I played in my high school state semifinals earlier that day in the blizzard and then drove to Charlotte immediately after my game ended. Our first play inside the stadium was Jeron Gouveia-Winslow(or however you spell it)'s pick 6. Plus it was the last game I ever got to see Tyrod play. All around it was a special day.
Also, Clemson 07 is one of my favorites. A pick 6, punt return TD, and kickoff return TD all in the same game. Tyrod went HAM that game too.

The trick is to not get them at the games. It's also much easier to get them from the coaches in the offseason. Players are tougher because if they are seniors, you are pretty much screwed if you haven't gotten one by November. After that they are preparing for the games, then the ACC Championship, then exams, then bowl game, and then the draft. If you are able to get players' signatures, you usually have to wait a while because it is on their time.

Yeah, it pretty much sounds like Saban is slapping him on the wrist. I can't see him missing any game time because why would Saban risk such a hit to his defense?

That was the first game that my friends and I ever bought a pop-up tent for a tailgate. It didn't survive its one and only use.

The quote from Saban didn't exactly make it sound like he would miss the opener. Something to the effect of "if he does what he needs to do, he will be back on the team."

I would love to see Motley at QB in the future. Good local kid.

I'm right there with ya. And it wasn't only the Miami fans that wouldn't shut up. The entire week before the game I swear all ESPN talked about was how great Miami was. That was one of the most fun/satisfying games I've ever been too. The rain was the icing on the cake

Miami 2003 comes to my mind as well.

Not the best game ever but still a very memorable one was Miami in 2009 at Lane. Miami fans wouldn't shut up about "Da U" being back and Pickory Harris being a potential Heisman candidate because he was off to such a hot start. The 31-7 beat down definitely shut them up.

If it wasn't obvious, I like beating Miami.
