I'd say Bud to HC, Gray to DC, they bring in a former VT DB from the NFL to coach the DBs. Shane will over time be groomed into an OC.

If someone told me we hire London as a TEs coach or speacial teams coach, I would scratch my head and ponder it a bit and probably take a week to convince myself it was a good move since he is a good recruiter. Any role bigger than that I would say no.

He's already too big for DE in Foster's system. I think he's around 270 or so. By next year, I'd be shocked if he wasn't significantly bigger.

The staff seems very willing to move people around this year to get playmakers on the field. I think he has a much better shot of playing at DT this year so that's what they are doing and then figuring out next year later. Beamer's made a few comments that point to him changing from the auto-redshirt that he used to believe in. I think Wyatt can be special no matter where he lines up.

A bunch of my childhood friends went to Clemson. And, while those guys are great and harbor no ill will towards myself or the Hokies, every visit I've made to that godforsaken campus has been marred by some rich redneck spewing a kitchen sink full of hate my way because of my affiliation with VT. Often this has occurred to the point where other calmer/nicer/less drunk Clemson fans have stepped in on my behalf. And what you mentioned about the KA's is a story I've also personally experienced. It sucks. It's essentially a public de-pantsing. And they do it to EVERYONE not wearing orange and purple.

I've never understood Clemson's entitlement complex. It's almost SEC-esque the amount of dickheadishness they collectively harbor. I will never pull for Clemson (unless it helps us). I'm getting some miles out of this one, but I side with our first President here:

GO HOKIES!

I would make the argument that Foster would be a perfect head coach, almost all of the great college coaches of late (alabama, LSU, Oregon) have been hardo's on and off of the field. While I love Beamer, I think that he has gotten softer over the years and doesn't have the intensity that Foster brings to the table. In an ideal world Foster brings back the days where the entire team played with a chip on their shoulder, God that would be awesome. It would be tough to see him give up that DC role though.

It may just be me but I really hope he gets a shot at DE as well as DT. I know we need depth at DT but if we get NNadi and Walker I hope he moves to DE.

I think I'll be going to Atlanta with some Bulleit as well as something from A. Smith Bowman, a local distillery down the road from me.

"can never go wrong with shots of fireball upon waking up"

I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit. Just thinking about that stuff sends a shiver up my spine.

Bud to HC, Gray or Wiles to DC. VT Alum to fill in the hole left behind of either of the latter two. Or, Bud to HC, Shane to DC and get groomed to be future HC?

With this being my first year as an alumni I guess I will have to figure my drinking preferences for different games stat, can never go wrong with shots of fireball upon waking up.

+1 That movie and the series "24" got me through my Iraq deployment in 2005. Good for me, not so good for the locals!

Cool info. Now here's an even more specific question - when was the last time four brothers, who attended the same college, played in the NFL? For that, my guess is never. VT Fullers FTW!

At the minimum he will have a large role, he is the face of VT Athletics, everyone knows him. I can see it both ways, to be honest, but I don't think AD is out of his grasp.

I'd agree, but my heart has already been stolen forever by Jeff Grimes.

This question intrigued me so I did some research to kill some time at work. The answer to your question is NO. But...
the last time 4 brothers made it to the league was the Browner brothers - Jim, Joey, Keith, and Ross - in the 80s.

In the 40s and 50s, there were 4 Kissell brothers in the league - Adolph, Ed, John, and Vito.

But the craziest set of brothers ever to play in the NFL (besides the Gronks) were the Nesser brothers - Al, Frank, Fred, John, Phil, and Ted. 6 guys in the NFL and all at the same time! 5 of them all played together on the same team, the Columbus Panhandles, during the 1921 season.

Ok, back to work.

Well let's see. Usually when The Masters kicks off I switch to Coors Light for the summer. I'll throw in a shot or two of bourbon at a big cookout/4th of July/Memorial Day. Other than sacred holidays these are also know as "parties" for us slightly older TKP'ers with kids and shit. The first VT game of the season is when I'll switch back to bourbon and water on the reg. I prefer Jim Beam as a daily because I can have 3 or 4 and not get sloppy. (3.5 year olds don't understand why daddy feels like shit when he's hungover.) I also keep some turkey 101 around for a quick buzz (No more than 2 because see above) If I'm feeling refined which is hardly ever I'll buy a bottle of Bookers and normally drink it neat. During #BeatBama I'll probably stick to JB.
