Wow. 06. That floor has come a long way since then. If you remember last year, the letters did not reach the frame for the goals. The aim this year was for the top of the letters to basically be touching the base just like it does in the practice facility.
I lived in Pritchard when it was still all guys, and I don't remember our bathroom being too gross. Obviously it was somewhat gross, but not too gross. Maybe I just lived on a good hall.
Edit: I think I heard that Pritchard is now coed, but I could be wrong about that.
I actually don't think Oregon is that good this year. They're still at top 15 team but #3 is way too high.
Nice article. For us quantifiable people, it's fun to project the best/worst for LT and Edmunds, the two keys to actual offensive success (i.e. if you give me these two guys numbers, I can tell you how good the offense is).
Edmunds:
Best case is Darren Evans freshman year, 287c-1265Yds-11TD's-4.4YPC + 17catch-117 yds
Worse case is Cedric Humes 2004 season where he platooned with Imoh: 130-605-5-4.7 +8-46
That's BC as a workhorse back, grinding out yards, taking the TD's that the QB doesn't. WC is a platoon that may put the ball the ground too much to take more carries and isn't quite as effective as he can be.
Thomas:
BC: Interpolating the #of attempts from last year @ 62% using 2011 YPA: 429att-266comp-3425yds-22TD-8Int + 75% rushing of 2011: 115rushes-352yds-8TD.
WC: Last year -- 429-220-2976-18-16 + 174-524-9.
I looked at comparing LT's BC to Alex Smith's last year at Utah (32 TD's, 4Int), Jason Campbell's evolution at Auburn (69% completions) and Aaron Rogers at Cal (only 310 attempts) but none quite matched. Maybe best case is the 50TD's of Cam Newton, but I don't see Loeffler using Newton as an extra tailback like Malzhan did. Besides being hurt, LT can't be worse than last year.
Worst scenario from the depths of my nightmares:
UVA kills oregon, and we give the game away to alabama..
chill guys, i just knocked on wood.
I completely understand that the call happened in the 3rd and a lot of football was left. I do not blame refs for the outcome of games, except in this case. The PI call affected how the rest of the game was played.
Here's a hypothetical situation:
VT scores and is up by 10 late in the 3rd. Does that effect how USC calls plays in the 4th? Would Adibi have gotten hurt? Would the momentum have stayed with the Hokies?
You can't change the past, but it's always fun to argue for the alternate ending. Knowing that the ref who made the call was not responsible for that part of the field helps to fuel my argument. Oh, well.
To his defense, I would probably consider any school she was trying to recruit me to as well
damn right it is. #BEATOREGON!
Im not worried about it at all, Grimes and Loeffler will probably have much more say of who they want in.
Loeffler's loud, and seems like he gets what he wants, and recognizes the strength and weaknesses of each of the RBs, and Grimes is the Running Game Coordinator.
Itll work itself out.
I can definitely say that I love Virginia Tech, so I can see why we place #1 in the category. We are probably still in the top 3 for food. I think Turner Place was ranked as one of the top dinning halls.
I think we might if we kept it within 3 (with a couple of lead changes) or overtime.
Did they ever announce what will actually be on the back of the scoreboard?
Miami and the Marlins should have just built a dual stadium and hosted both games at the same time. That way people could watch two crappy sports teams and but possibly still be mildly entertained.
Yeah, gonna have to pretty strongly disagree with you on parts of your post. Shane's coached, and coached well, in the biggest of the big leagues: the SEC. You don't see too many other guys being nominated for the Frank Broyles award early in their career, yet he was while at USC-E. No, he didn't win it, but that wasn't my point. Being up for the award is recognition that the coach is well-respected by his peers, and that doesn't just come because your last name is Beamer.
Have there been issues with our running game? Absolutely. Have ALL the offensive coaches worked as hard as they could to fix them? Ah-yup. Was there eventually a realization that new blood was needed to ultimately get a fix in place? Sure thing. Will we (eventually) right the ship with some new coaches who will bring fresh new schemes? I believe we will.
In the meantime, I think you're being a little harsh on the Beav. He's a good coach with pretty decent running backs to work with, but even Adrian Peterson couldn't have run well with our O-line last year. That's my $0.02 and YMMV, and I hope I didn't stomp on toes too hard...I tried to keep it civil. This ain't TSL, after all.
I am liking the progress! Hope it is finished by the time I move into my apartment, so I can see the final product and get that much more excited for football!
I think the basket will just slightly cover the top of the letters, if that. Otherwise, players wouldn't be able to run the baseline.
If you look at this link it shows the hoops with the old baseline.

I blame the Kansas game on Stiney. "Oh, they can't stop Brandon Ore? Well lets throw it at Talib (their best defensive player) instead. They'll never see it coming!!"
Now the Peach Bowl loss to UGA - that was on Glennon.
Haha it's kinda hard to say they're once in a lifetime backs after listing three in a row... BUT I do get/agree with what you're saying
Is that a thing?
Ha, we went through the same. There was a hall meeting for some unknown reason, then the RAs threatened the girls with a collective JR for everyone. We got to peace out after a few minutes, though, while the girls stayed behind for a while. It was sort of hilarious. I thought our bathroom was gross, but the girls' must have been far worse.
Kansas has an Orange Bowl trophy.
Couldn't agree more even Scales arguably our best back last year and Gregory had minimal in-game experience at the tailback position.
Dorenzo Hudson pacing the sidelines got me! Hilarious!
Well first of all, Evans, Williams, and Wilson were once in a lifetime College backs, Coach Hite had a few of those here. Beamer hasn't had that type of talent to work with yet. Secondly I wouldn't consider Moorehead a "big boy" yet in regards to being a coach. This is his first gig outside of being a GA and Shane has been coaching since he graduated from tech in 1999. Third, just because he's Franks son I don't think he does what he pleases in regards to the running backs and running game. He still has an offensive coordinator to answer to and a running back is about as useless as an elevator in an outhouse if the O-line is garbage. Just some things to think about. I think every coach on that staff could do a better job and they'll be the first one to tell you that.

I think Shane did the best he could last season. It wasn't like he was taking Wilson out in 2011 so others could play. For whatever exoplanation- no one stepped up. He reacted as most coaches would have and gave players a chance to prove themselves. Hopefully, he wont have to experiment the same way again this season. GO HOKIES!
