I normally start out with some homebrewed beer. Hopefully, I'll be moving onto some bourbon after a couple of those this year.
Just brewed what I'm calling the Beat Bama Belgian Pale Ale. All I need is to make the label.
All for the ACC...as long as the conference affiliate is on our schedule. Otherwise, I hope they loose. And in the case of this season, I'd like to see Clemson get floored by Georgia.
Drinking Schedule for 7:30pm Thursday night games for my mom, dad, and myself:
~1:30: arrive at lot 8, pull out tables and chairs, crack first Bud Light.
From 1:52 - 5:30: pace ourselves, switching between Bud Light and water while eating food.
5:42 - 6:59: Commence to heavier drinking of beer. Intersperse airplane bottles of Wild Turkey.
7:00: Mistakenly have the drunken realization that we're missing Enter Sandman, quickly begin putting things back into car while cursing.
7:08: stuff pockets, socks, underwear, and hat with assorted airplane bottles, take our traditional pre-game good luck shot of RumpleMintz to freshen our breath, and begin our journey to Lane (after grabbing one last beer for the walk).
7:18: arrive at Lane, chug rest of beer, throw into trashcan, and push our way through crowd. We participate in a number of Let's Go chants, including the ones pre-Sandman.
7:23: After coming to the verge of vomiting due to the excessive jumping for Enter Sandman, we once again attain drunkuillibrium and get a Coke to pour our airplanes bottles into. We immediately begin high-fiving everyone around us as the Hokies take the field for the kickoff.
Life in this moment of inebriation and joy makes every other day bearable.
Makes complete sense. FWIW, this is good for Virginia Tech in a roundabout way. Any exposure the ACC gets on the national stage is good for us. Just like any ACC team against a non-con, I'll be rooting for Clemson. Obviously, we want every ACC team to be ranked as high as possible going into league play (even if VT doesn't play them in the regular season)
Nestle Quik...shaken, not stirred! (Father of 3 toddlers)
Typically I roll with Maker's but this year I think I'm going with Blanton's. I'm hoping the increase in price will bring an increase in wins...
Didn't even realize that! I just quickly googled Cassell
I see what you did there....
Evan Williams was my drink of choice during the Darren Evans/Ryan Williams era...see what I did there?
As I don't partake in any alcoholic beverages, I'll be consuming a steady diet of Freight Train Thomas and a dash of JC with a whole lot of Defense.
Afterall, it is....#DOOMSDAY
#ALLOFTHEBOURBON. i'm quite partial to anything by wild turkey. their american honey is absolutely incredible, but i'll have to hit up the ABC store to see what i'm going to drink for #BEATBAMA.
usually i start out drinking beer on game day though, but grow antsy after one or two and switch to bourbon. and then i follow that up with bourbon. and then some more bourbon after that. bourbon bourbon bourbon.
welp. my mouth is watering so i'm gonna be stopping by the liquor store on the way home from work now. thanks dozer.
Don't worry...Mike London is a cop. He will make sure everyone is safe.
I generally cheer for the conference, just for perception reasons. I hate it when the media types say, "VT has dominated the ACC...but it's the ACC..." If the ACC looks good, we look good. The more precise answer is that it sort of depends. I have no love for GT, but I hate USCw, so in that game I was really cheering for not-USCw. It just so happened that GT was that team. It was cool to watch the former #1 team with their pretentious fight song and jerk of a head coach lose to a mediocre ACC team.
Traditionally beer (usually Sam or Yuengling unless I feel spending a bit more), but for this year I have a bottle of Whistlepig Rye Whiskey which I think I'll be using during #BEATBAMA
I can't vote this up enough
gameday drink of preference: large quantities of cheap beer.
a buddy of mine bought me a bottle of basil haydens that I am waiting until #beatbama to consume
you can't put a price on #BEATBAMA. Welcome to the community!
You can never go wrong with a bottle of Buffalo Trace. Kinda pricey, but very worth it
Makers of course!!! Haven't tried the Makers 46 yet though....could also be an option.
Evan-Williams green label. but i am also a poor college student

In bowl games, I would like all ACC teams to win but I don't care. Mostly because it's the last game of the season and it doesn't affect us. During the year, as it has been said before, I want every team to be undefeated or with as few losses as possible by the time we play them. Especially Miami, GT, FSU, Clemson, and UNC. Beating them when they are doing well means more than beating Duke, Wake Forest and BC when they are doing well.

Beer drinker mainly here. Depends what I'm in the mood for or where I am, though more than likely craft.
This year I will have my keezer up and running, and so I'll have two sixtels of Low Brau on tap...
