Our Grimey hands are plucking O-lineman from all over the place. Have to love this change compared to the last 5+ years of shortcomings in OL recruiting.

After seeing this, I simply want one thing, and just one thing.

BRING BACK THAT NASTY, HIGH INTENSITY, ANGRY-BUD-FOSTER-GLARE DEFENSE! BRING BACK THAT CRUSHING OFFENSE THAT DEMORALIZED THE OPPONENTS!

And if it's not too difficult,

BRING BACK BEAMERBALL!

Not sure if this is joking or not, but it's quite different in that the people behind the Joshua Bell story clearly knew who he was and were interested in tracking the reaction of people rushing to work. The metro patrons who didn't recognize him weren't the ones who asked him to play violin or give a shout out.

For what its worth, Gobblercountry just retweeted Brady is headed to Kentucky.

And the hits just keep on comin'...

Agreed. I think when Foster made the defensive change for the FSU game, it brought back a simple blue collar approach that can win games for us. I think the stale-ness is gone but it will come down to if the offense can score. It will be hard to get defensive points against bama and especially special teams. For those who want to see more blocked punts it is as simple as this:

Teams finally caught on to Tech's prowess in blocking punts and as a result a new formation developed. 5 on the line that make a backwards c. 2 wide outs to prevent a return, or come in to prevent a block. Then three people between the line and punter. That line of 3 men prevents almost any rush at the punter making it increasingly more difficult to get to the punter and NOT get a penalty. It takes the angles away so blocked punts are harder to accomplish.

that being said, I want to see the energy shown in this video. That was the biggest thing I saw missing...remember the cincinatti game this season? During the transition from the third to fourth quarter, cinci was running and pumping fists in the air for the fourth and we were just meandering our way down to the end zone. I remember when the roles were reversed and it is time to have that back in blacksburg.

That's exactly what I've been trying to explain to my wife and mother-in-law since pretty soon after we started dating.

I can't remember a real diva sequence WR comparison, so ill get close.

Ronyell < Danny Coale

I'm down.

I am hearing he is suspended for the opener against Bama. This means more Charley Meyer....

Someone mentioned something about a suspension in another thread...

I can tell you that this city is not short on good grocery stores (Publix) that carry turkey legs year-round and, even better, a multitude of butcher shops and farmers markets that will cut them fresh for you. Hence, there's no need to bring them down with you. Just run to a Publix and they'll have them on hand.

As for preparation, brine them first. 1 cup of salt to 1 gallon of water is the preferred ratio. Then cook low and slow. Also, I've had great success with doing turkey legs in a crock pot (of all places). Since you can cook them on low for a long time, it breaks down a lot of the tough tendons and cartilage you usually run into with big legs.

I had just typed up a response saying basically the same thing. The only thing I'll add is that there would have been an unblocked defender on either cut, regardless of how good or bad the block was. #7 is unblocked on the right side. If Phillips had delivered a better block on #22, #10 (CB?) was also in the hole.

Too bad UVA is a major school in VA. If Tech weren't the only one, we could be like WVU and have an entire country, except VA, predict that we'll lose, and then shock everyone. But, with UVA voting against us, that's not going to happen.

Here's a funny situation: On NCAA Football 14, Tony Gregory is my starting TB, JC Coleman is my starting WR, and Trey Edmunds backs up Gregory.

Yea biggest thing you see is the tenacity and energy the defense had. It hasn't been like that since '08. We just haven't had the dominating and smothering defense that instilled fear into the other team since then. Cody Grim is the only player that comes to mind that had that mentality where he 'could make a play at any time'. Maybe Jayron during his sophomore season, but really just interceptions, he wasn't very physical. I'm thinking this new era brings the energy back and we get back to our old ways.

Looks like a lot of the framework is sitting wonder the west side stands right as u get to section 2

You all are amazing, thank you so much for the help. Tyroid, your instructions work perfectly and are blowing my mind. Turkey legs for all!
