Looks like Mark Stoops is trying to make UK compete in Football. That gives me a very sick feeling to my gut.

JC Shubertt, the Director of Recruiting at 247, and Evan Watkins, one of the VT Scoop Gurus, flipped their picks from VT to UK this morning on the Crystal Ball predictor. Not a good sign.

Another reason why I like this kid:

What's the most impressive thing you've ever done on the football field?

Helped 2 of our running backs to become 1,000 yard rushers.

That was further down on his ask.fm. People are letting him know that VT has some top RB's coming in. This kid is great on ask.fm. I've used it for Derrick Nnadi and CJ, and honestly, mostly get yes and nos. He actually provides input and has more to say.

I think we have a great shot. If he doesn't come to VT, I still think Grimey did a great job. We still have some large dominos left to fall, so I'm not ruling this year out yet.

EDIT: The last couple of predictions were for UK, included was Evan Watkins and JC Shurbett. So now I'm not so sure...

We could really use the good news. Fisher, Reid, and Jefferson going to prep school. Pfaff now grey shirting because of a shoulder injury. Missing on Brown and Hand. It has not been a good news summer outside of the OL.

I have zero inside knowledge, but I think we pick him up. Also, looks like the decision got moved to 6PM, though I'm not sure what time zone he's in.

Positives for us: early PT possible as we transition to a new blocking scheme; he's a GOOD fit for the scheme; wants to be an HNFE major (and we're pretty well-known for that within dietitian-type circles); and he's a Christian kid (Grimey is apparently a pretty big Christian himself, if memory serves me, and our FCA program is legit).

Negatives for us: none. There are no negatives to being a Hokie :)

*crosses fingers*

Getting him and the completing the #fab5 would be HUGE IMHO. I happen to like our chances.

But, if we don't get him, it's because of something uncontrollable like distance from home. Our current recruits and Grimey have done an outstanding job at pushing.

To be frank, I have seen very little use of the screen game outside of the WR quick screens. They did feature several draws though in spring practice.

THIS +1000!

Now all we need is #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING and we are perfectly set up for some circa late 90s/early 00s Hokie football.

The perfect start for this game will be a 3 and out (3 sacks by the D) followed by a blocked punt returned for a TD and capped off by Exum making out with AJs mom in the stands.

You can just take screen shots of the hi-res photos on HokieSports.com. That's how I get the pictures for my screensaver and such.

I present the five best coaches in the ACC as I see it. I'll do the best I can to back this list with facts but I also reserve the right to completely make things up if it suits my argument.

Facts show that "completely made up things" ranks as #1 on the list of criterion to make partially factual rankings on the internet.

That ship has sailed. While I wish the young man the best wherever he ends up, it's a name us Hokie fans can forget (at least with respect to seeing him on the field in O&M).

Just speculation, but this is how I feel. If you grew up with money, and you have a lot of money, you know you don't show it off. If you never had money, and you fell into a lot of money, then you want to show it off. Suspicious, indeed. However, the amount of money he had is approximately my entire bank account after a summer of working.

Maybe he mowed a lot of lawns, or whatever Freshmen are doing over the summers these days. Nonetheless, keep that sh*t in the bank.

French, 3rd and 31, or anyone else who has watched a fair amount of film of Loeffler's and Grimes' offenses,

Do they use the RB screen? How effective are they at running it? From what I've seen, it's pretty rare to see college teams run the RB screen effectively, but JC would be great at it. His stature and ability to take off in space would yield huge gains. However, the RB screen takes great coordination between the O-line, the QB, and the RB. And I know VT was terrible in the past (looking at you Newsome and O'Cain), but I'm hoping Grimes and Loeffler can rectify that. There is no better play to slow down the pass rush on 3rd and long. I have a feeling, we'll see a couple of 3rd and longs on Aug 31st, as our newly remade O-line will probably miss an assignment here and there.

YES! Sadly it was awesome when I saw it in the stadium but looks like its from the 80s now...

Those are the stacks of promises (or promissories?) that NS made for him if he attended AL. Blame it on a typo.

Most people don't know who Joshua Bell is either. This a culturally biased storyline that HuffPo should be ashamed of. It is not news that we are not all on the same cultural page. I mean just look at LOLUVA.
