Well those rebar cages were found directly behind the east stands and the foreman in charge of the scoreboard said he had nothing to do with what was behind the east stands. Also there is one in the ground behind the east stands.

I think that the receivers that VT has put into the NFL have had better careers than the RBs. And you can take that back a LONG way!

Thanks for that. It helps to have some background on the general talent level on the field when comparing prospects, and I think pretty much noone has that unless you follow high school football very closely and on a state or national level. I mean, I could list off the schools in the 757 that are pretty good, but outside of that I only hear of the teams that end up in the Virginia D5 state tournament, and then only if one of my local teams makes it.

Also, I guess that'll change this fall, what with Phoebus being downgraded to D4, where they're liable to either own everything or have all the good kids go back to Hampton because of the higher prestige.

Does this new paint have echo enhancing properties? Perhaps this is an ingenious plan to make Lane louder.

Well played Weaver.

dude i love your avatar! lol! Daniel L. Crandall ftw!

In all fairness to Proehl, the league he plays in here in Charlotte is fairly big time and produces a lot of D1 talent. So being the fastest kid on the field in that setting is saying a little more than usual.

I remember that too, I believe I remember seeing Andy Staples from SI.com write about it. Something about the 5 BCS conferences and Notre Dame. 64 teams in it, called CASH or LOOT.

Cheers to TKP! We need to get car stickers or something. Every time I pass a car with a VT sticker or license plate I think "I wonder if that is a fellow TKPer".

I can only recall the Miami game where it was played mid-game, but I wouldn't be surprised if you told me that the other time you're referring to was just before DW4 broke GT with the kick return.

Indeed, surveying the responses over time has lead me to believe that most (or at least many) of us have matriculated already. As for the in-depth football analysis, you'll have to look at french and a few others for it. Many of us are unedumicated in the technical aspects of the game. I, for one, still resort to a chant of FireBryanStinespring when something goes wrong, whether it be in playcalling, recruiting, the weather, or spilling my beverage.

And don't you worry, there is plenty of sophomoric humor on here to go around. Usually directed at UVA.

I appreciate your comments, and I think your points are a few of the many reasons why we all love this site like girls love pinterest.

And for what its worth, I grajuminated years ago. As for the productive and model citizen part, thats probably still up for debate...

I'm not particularly excited about Hinshaw. I mean, any time you get a guy who wants to be there, it's good, but I just checked his stats from last year. Quick rundown:
15/22 on Field Goals, and only 36/42 on PATs
Long of 41, with a total of 1/4 from beyond 40
14/18 from within 40, with misses from 23, 25, 35, and 36

Happy to have him, since having the extra man as competition and backup can't hurt, but that's about all I see this guy contributing.
