Taxeslayer.com Gator Bowl??? That's an awful sponsor, when did that change??
At least it's another chance for those of us down in Jax to see our Hokies!!

Phone calls, no...texting to say how awesome it is to be there (and maybe to rag on some of my LOLUVA buddy)...yes! I'd like to say I was tweeting but I'm too elfin old for that. Also like to check scores, etc.

why are you on the phone? It's too noisy for phone calls.

Even though the line struggled a bit, especially in the interior during the spring game, at the very least, it looked like everyone was on the same page as far as fundamentals. That, by itself, is an improvement. Word from the practices is that the compete level of the offensive line was much higher than last season. Those two things are the foundation of good things, and if it is just braggadocio, we will know real quick.

I remember when ESPN brought lights in on trucks for a night game in the 90s. Ahh...the good old days. *sigh*

Maybe their for cell phone towers/repeaters. You know, since the reception inside Lane is horrible!

I think my favorite Miami game was when we beat them and they were #2 in Blacksburg. The streets filled up with fans in jubilation all night. Friends of mine just passed out in their cars. A bus full of Miami fans drove through downtown and was rocking trying to get up the hill to head to prices fork.

The home games against Nebraska and GT (when David ran back that TD) were previously the two craziest games I had been to. This Miami game blew both out of the water.

Goes without saying, but watching Logan go 23/25 was fantastic. Hope to see a lot more of those games this year.

The first mid-game Sandman that I heard was 2005 against Miami. We were down two scores and the crowd was kind of dead because we were just getting manhandled. We got all pumped up, then on the first play from scrimmage, Marcus fumbled in the end zone. Then we were down three scores. Couple that with the 2007 BC outcome and I was convinced that mid-game Sandman was bad news. After DW4 ran back the kick and they played it, as GT was marching down the field, I was a wreck. Thank goodness for Rock Carmichael or that would have been awful.

I prefer to think of myself as a jack of all pastimes: playing sports, watching sports, playing music, dabbling in computers, watching sci-fi, playing video games... I'm sure there's some that I'm missing

Very true. Antonio Freeman, Andre Davis, Ernest Wilford and Eddie Royal have all enjoyed longer-than-average careers in the NFL.

KJ had some success in the NFL, whenever he wasn't hurt. But none of our other running backs in my time have had any real staying power, but that might change with DW4, and RMFW if he can stay on the field this year. And Ken Oxendine apparently married a Playmate, so there's that.

When Marcus Davis did throw a pass against Clemson when it seemed we would cut the lead to 7, he threw a pic

Good old Hendricks! Great teacher, terrible tests.

If Kansas by TDWP is in there my friend and I will lose our shit. Gotta be the best under the radar pump up song I've heard

Nice! One of the guys on my hall one year went as him as well. It was an easy costume. I went as Scott Hendricks from Statics class. That was an easy costume too, but very popular!

one halloween during my tech years, somebody was dressed up in a Daniel L. Crandall costume. Wasn't much more than a suit, beard, and hairpiece but it was hilarious.

Had my friend from Czech Republic with me at the BC game. Was ready to make it all worth it for him as we started making our way down to rush the field then that happened. I'll never head for the field until 00:00 again. Used to be a big Falcons fan, but Matt Ryan messed that up too. I tried but just can't root for the guy after that.
