I am hoping for a Hulk Hogan Bash at the Beach style swerve, but it doesn't look likely. This may be more failing grade for the supposed recruiting expertise of Shane Beamer and the defensive staff.I know Brown was a UVA lean all along, but doesn't that say something that a school that HALF ASSES football can still land top guys and VT can't? As I said before, only two times since 2002 (Macho Harris and Tyrod Taylor) the Hokies have landed the top recruit in the Commonwealth. That is abysmal, given how they have dominated not only the Commonwealth Cup, but regional play as well. I had some hope that the staff had turned a corner by getting Fuller and Teller last season, but not such a positive review this year. Despite the empty trophy case and bragadocio, it sure doesn't seem like the man in charge is willing to work as hard as you have to in order to land top recruits in 2013.
Not looking good. Brown is retweeting UVA players/fans (below tweet is not an example just a recent tweet) and responding to them in a matter that seems like he's set on being another hoo tied down on the Beamer and Co. train tracks.

Yeah likewise...pretty sure he is UVA bound...which is a shame but whatever never expected it in the first place people just got excited after his visit last month

I lost money on that game. I think we played USC the next year and I doubled down. Lost both. Last time I bet on vt. First time was the lose to syracuse, so I was 0-3. Led me to never bet on the hokies as it caused them to lose.

Actually, what got tOSU in trouble was not reporting the free tats (and golden pants) and the subsequent cover up. Tressel knew about it and chose not to say anything until after the bowl game, because he didn't think it was fair to the alumni and other player. Then he tried to delete some emails where he acknowledged knowing about the issues prior. Authority figures don't like when you don't tell the truth early (see: Michael Vick).

He could've done what Dwight and Carmelo did, but because they don't win no one cares. In my opinion those are two characters who epitomize the word selfish and cocky.

"I think he has always come across as humble...." I like that statement because it's real easy for us to judge and say he's cocky when we're not in his shoes. He's been crowned "King" since he was 17 years old (and he didnt give himself the title). What do you expect when you're being called the next best thing before you even get drafted. Like treadmill said below, I'd be way cockier if I was him. Hell I was cocky playing football on the drillfield and that was all for fun. If I had money, legacy, critics, history, fame, etc to gain then I'd be cocky too. He's deserved to be cocky. Lastly, while the decision show was a bad publicity stunt, at least the proceeds went to boys n girls clubs of America, I like how everyone conveniently leaves that part out. Regardless, he's the best thing we've seen since Jordan and I wish people would embrace it more instead of turning their noses up at him. Rant over.

Cocky? I just don't get that. Sure, the announcement show was a ridiculous gimmick, but you have to think that ESPN and a lot of pocketbooks were pushing for it. I think he has always come across as humble as a person with his talent can be. If you compare him with MJ, Magic, Kobe, or any of the other great players, he is no more arrogant in my eyes. He also carries himself incredibly well and is very well-spoken for someone who never went to college.
