Having heard the same here on TKP, I wonder if there's anything to be read into the fact that Nnadi put himself into the OL vs DL drills at a recent camp just so he could go against Brown. Also, they're both teenagers, so take *all* of that with big grains of salt.

I had heard that they didnt get along but I have nothing to support that.

I like them both but I really like Nnadi. He is a force inside. He will be really good in our system (not that Brown wouldn't be) It would be awesome to get them both.

+1 for "Kids are no longer thinking about Mike Vick. He is becoming an outdated relic."

I don't think most Hokie fans realize how true a statement that is and how damning it can be for our recruiting.

terrorizing a wahoo...I love it!

and I wish we had him against these guys...

Haha, awesome list. My favorite, which was spot on:

Tobias Funke - Duke - They may insist/pretend they like football just like the rest of us, but we all know they're a basketball school. Plus, they blue themselves.

Agreed, a kid will fight more and put all his effort in if he wants to be there.

I thought our chances with Brown were high, because he liked our music program. I feel that Derrick has a chip on his shoulder though, as some of the recruiting stuff doesn't have him as high, for example, not going to the Opening. I like underdogs and kids who want to prove something. Plus I feel like him and CJ have a good relationship.

I'd compare him more to a little bigger, faster, and stronger-armed Kellen Moore. He's got great touch, anticipation, and hopefully the ability to make the right reads and get it to the right guy at the right time.

Whichever one wants to be a Hokie. I'd rather have a kid like Andrew Ford who WANTS to be here rather than a Cornwell who "settled" to be here.

Oh...you're right. It has nothing to do with conference at the time. It's just whatever that document says. But as someone pointed out, if we fill that trophy case, we'll still be at 0, since it is not awarded by the NCAA.

Brown or Nnadi: Someone commented once that they don't get along and would end up picking other schools. If we only get one, who would ya'll like to get?

Or if you don't like that question, what do you really like about Brown?

But yet Syracuse and Louisville miraculously have National Championships when they have yet to join the ACC...common sense tends to not be found around haters.

They are using this as a guide: http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/champs_records_book/summaries/combined.pdf and are counting only TEAM championships.

I don't really care about it that much - I just wanted to point out that UVA managed to win 20 championships in the ACC, yet only 19 while in the commonwealth of Virginia. Did they win one while not part of the commonwealth?

Also, they don't count Pitt because they were not won while part of the ACC.

I saw some of that too, Nnadi was talking about how they won't be able to chase Bucky or something. I'm hoping thats a pull for us.

Seems there was some back and forth with a girl and Andrew on twitter last night about Turtle maybe being in big trouble, and the two of them having a hard time getting a hold of him. There is more than just below:

Many people forget that not long ago, Bama was below .500. THey were a consistent losing program with a rich history far behind them. They were a joke for 2/3 of the 2000-2010 decade. When Saban was hired for his ludicrous salary I pointed at Bama and laughed....at the time I thought it was ridiculous. Look what the move has done for them. The perception of this league changes at the drop of a hat. Right now, 2013, you have to acknowledge VT does not look good. Kids are no longer thinking about Mike Vick. He is becomming an outdated relic. The best hope we have now is that our new hires can recruit, recruit, recruit and that VT's current NFL players make a splash. The guys we lost last week still hurts. If VA's progeny puts out more top notch talent in the future and these new coaches cannot pull them in, then we can't expect to trend up to an elite program and our goal should be find a way to get the best talent without breaking the rules.

Here's a funny fact. BCS National Championships aren't awarded by the NCAA and therefore don't count as NCAA Championships. They recognize the FCS champ as the true Division I National Champion. SUCK IT BAMA!
