Didn't Alabama say they'd cobble together something for Hand? Like a mix of classes and internships or something along those lines? They'd probably put him on a 5 year Master's course and keep him there all summers.
so just throwing this out there but those jerseys still have the old T in V logo. wouldn't you think an official release would account for that and have it changed?
I really don't like the jerseys with the shoulder stripes. Never have. Looks like we're going that way for life. Bring back the Ryan Williams uniforms. Stay away from mortal combat jerseys or whatever they were called.
I noticed yesterday on his crystal ball there were all of a sudden a ton of Alabama predictions which to me came out of no where.
Oh well, maybe this will help dominos for some of the other DEs we were after.
If it isn't us, I'd just hope it would be Alabama. I've grown a severe distaste for Michigan. I could stand Florida. Not so much LSU.

As many have already pointed out, it appears we were dropped because we didn't have a sports marketing program. But then he mentions he was impressed by a $25M project towards improving Alabama's engineering program, and that doesn't make sense to me. If engineering is still on the table, VT is also in the middle of constructing a brand new building (with a freakin' Rolls Royce jet engine hanging from the ceiling: http://www.vtnews.vt.edu/photo-galleries/2012/110612-coe-jetengine/jeten...). So, I don't get it.
At any rate, I wish him luck; hope he finds a school that's a good fit and has a great career. Seems like a good kid.
How long till Tech installs a Sports Management/Marketing program?
Bummer, but not a huge surprise when going up against two of the most storied programs in College Football. We really need a topnotch indoor practice facility soon, to enhance our recruiting pitch.
No thank you. I hate when we wear Orange - we always look like Clemson or some other team. It took me a second to figure out which team we were last year in the UVA game. That should never happen. Ever
Why is there more orange? We don't need more orange. We need to go back to the Bill Dooley policy of no orange. Ever. Also, white pants give the option of not doing #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING, and we can't have that either.

For the record, we have 12 different uniform combinations thanks to 2 different pairs of white pants, one with and one without stripes. I would say the odds are high that we have a different uniform combination for every game and only see #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING once until the bowl game and pending participation in the ACC Championship Game.
At least we're getting #allmarooneverything back. That battle has been fought for longer then recruiting Hand.

I doubt this is soley about Major choice. If it is, I think if we could get him on campus and sit him down with a higher up in Pamplin. They could explain that a Sports Marketing/Management degree would cut him off from a lot of opportunities that a regular Marketing or Management degree would give him.
