Update on the progress in Cassell. After waiting almost a week on a demo permit, they managed to come in and have two teams working which ended up in them having both scoreboards down in two days. All that is left is for them to cut out the catwalk then hopefully the new boards will be up by August. (Lane Stadiums won't be done til mid-August at the earliest). The new boards going up are going to be enormous (from current stanchions to the top of the air handlers).
I just want #allmarooneverything to happen once, just once, before I graduate. Is that too much to ask?

Virginia Tech AD Jim Weaver said in a release. “Michigan is the winningest college football program in the country.”
#IwasatVTbefore we #BeatBama
This is a valid point...it actually makes me feel a little better to think that we can focus our efforts on Brown/Nnadi/Street I have a really good feeling about Nnadi, that guy whether he comes to Tech or not looks like a mean mean dude he will be a stud. Plus if Hand is gonna eliminate Tech then good riddance don't want you no how!
Also another point to make is that our defense has never ever been a problem during the last 15-20 years except maybe the first half of this past season/2003 season. Bud has proven he can take guys from all over the board and churn out a top ten defense nearly every season. I think we should be more focused on what kind of Offensive talent we can bring in specifically Oline and athletes...with all that being said it would be a complete disaster if we did not land a single one of these high 4/5 star VA recruits make no mistake about it...complete disaster
Stop being so damn reasonable.

Us old fossils (I'm 24) know that we historically have not played well in Orange.
Dug this up. http://starsandslights.blogspot.com/2009/10/uniform-thoughts.html
A lot of schools have recruiters that can't coach (UVA) and others have coaches that can't recruit. I'm not saying Bud can't recruit, but lets say I like how VT fares against UVA. Not blaming Bud. There is more to football than landing elite talent, and we are pretty good at those other things.
The right decision being to pull the vt hat from under the table and say, "Virginia Tech" on ESPN/SECTV
I'm not going to worry about it too much, a lot can happen by the time signing day rolls around. Hand will have plenty of time to change his mind after we #BEATBAMA!
Who knows where this guy will end up. He has so much pressure on him that it seems like he's changing his mind every few days about what he's going to do. Over the past couple of months he's switched majors, completely changed the list of schools he's interested in, and went from VT probably being the front-runner to telling his favorite coach (Foster) that he's not going to commit here. Basically, I wouldn't put much weight on what he says because he's only 17 and is under a tremendous amount of pressure from everyone telling him what to do that he probably doesn't know what to think anymore. Regardless, I'm not following anything else he says until NSG. I feel sorry for the guy though, because I don't know how I'd react to this kind of pressure, and I doubt it would help me come to the right decision.

At the Ladies' Clinic 2 weeks ago, I asked Lester about having maroon pants - he grinned and said to be sure to come to all the games this season. Lester wouldn't lie!!!!
Bud and Beamer had an in-home visit with Travis Hughes the day after winning the ACC Championship. No time off, the day after they were recruiting him in his house. He took himself out of the running for the Vandy job because of that trip: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/hokies-journal/2010/12/foster_turned_do....
Grant was written off long before the Pitt job opened up.
Heres's a piece that cites Foster's visit with Anthony: http://www.tigernet.com/view/story.do?id=9326 sometime in January 2011.
I'm not saying he's a top-flight recruiter, but he's certainly made the effort.
Hand was really good. he Handedly Handled his competition during the above video, like he was on another level. Really would have liked getting him. Sure the need is greater at tackle but I would almost guarentee this kid is going to be playing as a true freshman where ever he goes, and he would have here too. Sux to miss out on him. But at least none of the schools he is down to are on our schedule in the next 5 years.
I am not pinning it on Bud, but until very recently, his record on recruiting was not very strong. I am still furious over the Curtis Grant-Stephone Anthony-Travis Hughes debacle while he was off interviewing for the Pitt job.

Well I suppose we won't have to worry about the NCAA sniffing in our direction anytime soon; we won't make outrageous concessions.
