The guy is an absolute beast as a 3 technique defensive tackle. He would be dominant in Bud Foster's system due to his strength and lateral quickness. Imagine Derrick MANBEARPIG Hopkins, and give him SEC size, strength, quickness, and WANT TO. As good as Hand is, dominant defensive tackles completely change the landscape in college football. As good as Cam Newton was, Nick Fairley was the top reason Auburn won a national title. Warren Sapp got a pretty average Miami to the title game (and damn near won it by himself.) Ends make the pretty plays, but tackles win championships.
I have no idea how we stand with Brown, but if they got him, it would be the biggest recruit the Hokies have landed since Bruce Smith.
Kid has awesome hand fighting skills off the ball. Looks like he plays angry.

# | Bitter blog - Would Virginia Tech want to play West Virginia in football again? I'd rather play some others out of conference. Maybe in another decade we can play the Neers again, but this decade is not the time. Even if it's a neutral site, does anyone seriously want to voluntarily return to FedEx Field (geographically the most logical)?!
I'm loving the upcoming OOC games, but I think why not play some teams from the Big-12? I'd love to play the Sooners, OSU Cowboys, or even the Longhorns. Or how avenging the Orange Bowl against the Jayhawks? I still can't believe what we did to lose that one, no matter how highly ranked Kansas was.
And Brown is a beast.

Well considering both Bucknell and Florida Gulf Coast are better bball schools than VT (maybe Richmond as well...), if he doesn't work out at TE, they should move him over to PF and play for JJ.
