I had some crazy math class with that guy senior year! He would give take home tests and someone would tell him how hard it was and he'd start doing the problems for us on the board to show us how to do them. Then he'd give us a week extension on the test. The only way i could have gotten a good grade in a class that hard!

Given how solid was last year (compared to the uncertainty we had in '11), I really didn't notice that Hughes was only the 6th-best ACC punter. As I've said before, as long as the Special Teams and Defense play smart and hard, VT has a good shot at pretty decent season this year. The offense just needs to play its supporting role, until it can start standing out in its own right.

Two for two and a rainout equals 6th seed in acc tourney and another shot at LOLUVA. Hope they ride the hot streak and take two in pool play, I think that will advance them.

Still would rather watch from the comforts of Blacksburg than be in boohooville.

After working with him this past fall, I think manning has come a long way and is ready to be a consistent player in the secondary. I think he has put the notion of transferring well past him and hope he continues to improve and compete.

Very true. Playing UVa is the gift that keeps on giving.

That would be nice but they already pay us back by having so many tickets for us Hokies to buy and being an easy win at their place

I got one of those 2 years ago. I've never bought anything from UVa athletics and VT is the only school I've ever attended. Just weird how they got my information and why they would mail a ticket advertisement to Blacksburg. Makes me wonder if VT and UVa have a revenue sharing plan when we play in Charlottesville - we help them improve attendance, and they give us an extra cut of the proceeds...

So any pictures of head cop on his knees begging?

Found it! Forgot that it was to beat WVU, that makes it even better. Here's hoping Vincent is now busy raising the next generation of Hokie Fullers. Man, imagine if all four brothers had four sons...we could field an entire defense of Fullers and have some left over for the offense as well...

Corey is the only Fuller that has played offense (so far, although there have already been mentions of working Kendall in offensively). If you are having flashbacks of Vinny Fuller scoring touchdowns, there was at least one or two blocks he returned for TDs. I remember the one in Lane he was so far ahead of the pursuit that the camera panned up into the stands to show us going bonkers while he was still on the 10 yard line. I need to find that clip...

If my memory serves me right, in the 02 game, we gave aTm their 1st non conference home loss in thr Slocum years. And correct me if I'm wrong, but was the read option from our O in 03 with BR and KJ?

Dude I knew it was you on Espn comments. I wasn't sure if I should say something or not but im the guy who always bashes the caps fans. Mpsp10

That or a great website for Ranger fans, Blue Seat Blogs (http://www.blueseatblogs.com/) which has a section explaining hockey strategy. Next time you watch, see how a team forechecks, or attacks the offensive zone, to see how they set up and move the puck ("cycle") down low. Also watch how teams line up in the defensive zone.

I remember the scene where Orgeron introduced himself to all of his players together by ripping off his shirt and challenging any player brave enough to fight him.

Anyone ever read Death to the BCS by the yahoo writers? It makes you sick that college football has been hijacked as a business.

You might be thinking of Justin Hamilton, who played Safety, Receiver and Running Back while at Tech.
