Hell, our defense didn't even need our offense to put up 14 points (good thing, too, since we only managed 13)
I was just about to pose something similar. David Wilson, Ryan Williams, Darren Evans. Some pretty good backs over the past few years plus the ones you mentioned. Last year was an anomaly, at least at this point. Let's give the young guys a shot before we call the TB position dead!
i know last year a few people had a kegger in slusher...no RA...no problem! haha also my RA told me of a story about a guy who managed to break the lock to the roof of pritchard or vawter (cant really remember which) and changed the lock with his own and would sneak up on the roof and drink beer at the end of the year i guess the staff finally tried to go on the roof and realized the lock was changed and when they eventually got up there hundreds of beer cans had accumulated.
Upper quad had a dorm olympics. The winning dorm got a keg party. Of course, everyone was invited. It was held in the basement. Times have changed. Not sure how many years after I moved off campus that it continued. Laws changed the drinking age to 21 a few years later. Our big gripe against the new law was that you could get drafted, vote, own a gun, be tried as an adult, and have other adult responsibilities but couldn't legally have a beer?

Great Hokie football!
Where can I get a key like that? Or a whole keychain full of them?
Aggies defense says "you get us 14 points, we'll win." They were right.
aaah my heart is aching for football season.
Add some little lunch pail decals on the helmet for good performance.
All Hokie stone helmets. Drop the rock on your ass.

First two years on campus the school sponsored keg parties! Drinking age (for beer) was 18 at the time.
I feel like the order form should be linked here:

Also - the logo on the shopify page is really sweet:

I want to see the next Great Hokie HB Tandem this season, with Edmunds and Coleman!
Also, we beat Saban's LSU Tigers that year... this year may we beat Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide!
I think he'd be more of a utility G/C, but I don't think he'd be as good as Via at tackle.
I definitely agree with you about McCarron. After watching a lot of Alabama games (discovered an AMAZING series of YouTube videos) I can say he's got some legit ability, and he can make a lot of NFL, big-boy throws, but he's not the elite, 1st-round pick type of QB you'd expect to have won 2 NCs. This may just be my Hokie bias, but I'm not expecting much out of him in the NFL.
Somehow, they are recruiting like they still do. David Cromwell certainly seems to like them.
I wouldn't be so quick to write off Mariota. The Pac-12 has had years to adjust to his style and their system, and very few teams have been able to do it. I've watched a lot of Oregon games, and I can tell you the guy's legit. Strong arm, extremely athletic, very reminiscent of a certain athletic QB out in SF. Even with a new coach, I don't see much changing over there and Mariota should have another very strong season.
"Remember when Beamer Co. just rolled premier tailbacks off the assembly line?"
You mean, like, up until a year ago?
Sure, we went through some lean(ish) years between KJ and DE/RmfW (Branden Ore, Mike Imoh, etc), but before Suggs we merely had quality backs, not what I'd call "premier" backs. Highest round we ever had a RB selected before Suggs was taken in the 4th round was Kenny Lewis (Sr.) in the 5th round back in 1980. Stith and Oxendine were both 7th round selections, in case you were wondering, as was Cedric Humes, our only mid-2000s runner drafted.
I'd say there's a pretty good chance this Edmunds kid could get us back on track. Also, don't forget that a big part of the reason we're in the situation we're in is that our last 3 guys have been so good they left early.
In that case, do you see Miller being a Utility Lineman (a la Michael Via)?
Bravo!
Got that right, but the superstitious fan in me would've been more worried if we won Game 1.
Can we start a meme thread akin to Florida's #ComePlayWRForTheJoker that is #ComePlayForACop #LoseToYourRivalAnnually #TransferAfterTwoYears

So just started watching the game from hokietapes and noticed that vincent fuller was playing cb. When did he switch to wr?
