i really like hearing the Beamer doesn't want everyone to get equal reps. ive said a bunch that the rotation that happened last year killed any momentum that any of the guys got. i think itll be an edmunds coleman duo come fall

I don't have any energy to expend on the basketball program anymore. If you can't hire a coach who focuses on fundamentals, then I can't commit to your program. If you are the coach and you can't get your guys to play defense or protect the ball, then you don't have my respect or attention.

I expect next year will be an epically awful year, like sub-10 wins type of year. And, frankly, we deserve it.

That's been our mentality for too long and the product that we're putting on the court shows it. Look at Texas, they had a terrible basketball program until about 1990 and then turned it around while keeping a great football program. There's no reason we can't put a better product out there.

at least we won't have to worry about Gio Bernard. that punt return against Moo U was sick nasty.

I'm hoping you will see Coleman and Edmunds on the field together. Get Coleman in space with Coles blocking and the screen pass works well. He is shifty in space but we didn't see a lot of that last year because of the line's lack of blocking which forced him to move laterally

I disagree with the lack of playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. The important part is having them all out there at the same time. If you ask me, based upon what I saw in Spring Game and read from practices and scrimmages, my offense would have Logan under center with Edmunds in the backfield, Coles at Flanker, Stanford at Split End, Coleman in the slot, Malleck or McCray as the tight end and then whatever line Grimes feels works. Those guys are the playmakers on our offense. The problem is that we can't have those same guys out there every down of the game. Knowles has to step his game up and be consistent, Beiro will get some action as well and we should see him used effectively, and we will work 2 tight end sets with Malleck and McCray/Duan Perez-Means.

since we were the 12th seed last year and the acc is adding new teams this year, there was never any chance we would've been included. even though we would've been matched up with one of the b1g's lower tier teams it still sucks.

If you can't execute vanilla what good are gimmicks? Are defenses too sophisticated and athletic that vanilla can't work any more? Does execution depend on having better talent? Many questions left to answer. I think it all comes down to playmakers and I'm not sure VT has enough of them on offense.

That's a typo - the site has them at +5000.

Who in their right mind is taking Maryland +500? That almost seems like an insult to GT, who has the same odds.

I think Jamal Lewis is on there in some capacity too. Defensive line and running back are loaded.

I don't have access to hokiehaven.com but what is the main article talking about? It says "Coach Frank Beamer and the Hokies have received some disappointing news that one player for sure won't be playing this season."

Is this a new development?

Based on 2012 and players returning, I would argue UNC is better and Miami is equivalent. That being said, I think VT is much better than they played last year. But, both probably deserve to be ranked ahead of VT right now.
