Hurts to see so many high-profile names on that roster that we missed out on. Still, let's destroy them.
Our goal should be revenge for last year's flop, and we accomplish this by beating every ACC opponent on our schedule.
Are you going to do one of these for all the ACC teams? Ending in a LOLUVA? This was great. +1
speaking of laughing at tennessee fans. . .
good times
"He always says he’s on a mission from God to make me the best quarterback in the nation, not just in the ACC." -- Thomas, about Loeffler
This to me is the most important thing coming out of spring (that and the tip of the spear comment). I'm not qualified to critique Loeffler, but if we assume that he himself is in fact qualified for the job, then a man with this type of drive and clearly defined vision is who I want as a coach. Things will get done.
There is no way anyone calls that dude "Ninja Swofford"
Speaking of that game, is there a place to buy videos of old games? I would love to have a copy of the 2009 Chick-Fil-A bowl for my dad for father's day. And me so I can watch and laugh at all of the Tennessee fans.
That's exactly what happened last time we played Bama in the Kick-Off game, started with a decent game (but still loss) vs Bama, ended up with us knocking out Ol Rocky Top.
I suggest 5dimes.com or bookmaker.eu . They are both extremely safe to use. The best way to put money in your account is to ask them to do moneygram. Go to wal-mart and send money to the name they give you. I know it sounds sketchy. But for the past 3 years thats how I've always done it. I don't like giving them my debit card, or anyone really. Also, it is an offshore gambling so you do still have to send them a copy of your license and a taxform to get payouts. Its required that you deposit at least $100 ( Bookmaker ) and $50 ( 5dimes ) I've always done the payouts through moneygram. I just go to walmart and give the reference number that they provide me and I pick the money up that way. You do have to pay for the fee but if you take out over $300 they will just put that fee money back into your account. Even though they don't charge a fee when they send a check, it's hard to get a bank to cash an international check for less then a 50 dollar fee. Or atleast at First Tennessee.
Also @ Charlotte Hokie, I seen the lines on 5dimes. It allowed me to type in the information as if I was placing my bet, but I have to wait till I get paid to put some money into that account. It was allowing me to pick my teams though, but didnt have funding in my account to actually place a bet.
One more thought on Linebacker: Raymon Minor. Kid from Richmond who grew up a Hokie fan, 6-2", 203 lbs. He's listed often as an athlete, but we probably see him as a LB.
His recruitment has blow'd up this spring. We were his first offer, but has been followed by offers from Clemson, Iowa, Miami, Nebraska, UNC, Oregon State, WVU and Wisconsin. Yeah, that's not a bad list. And all of those offers have happened in the last month, nobody knew who this kid was in February.
So, much like I really like a kid like McMillion because he has a very solid offer sheet (and is quite smart), I really like a kid like Minor because he's a relatively late bloomer with a list of good talent evaluators following him.
I have never bet on a game but am willing to do this. what site do you recommend?
Umm he didn't even spell Lefty's name right...that can't be a good sign...
I think so as well. If anyone ever wants a good college football recruiting book check out the Meat Market book that came out years ago that followed the Ole Miss head coach for a recruiting cycle. They talk a lot about quarterbacks especially waiting on each other and once the first couple fall, everyone else falls into place.
I think Alabama is the favorite, Tennessee has made a push, but Tech is definitely still in the mix. Like a lot of folks said below, we sit well with Park, and I don't anticipate any school signing both of them.
I read that Park will visit us in June and decide by the end of June.
I would totally follow Bryan Randall into battle
Yeah, Leal should be the runaway favorite to start. It should be his job to lose.
So I went to the carnival yesterday with my girlfriend and one of the damn carnies was a bama fan and started shit talking me....Totally uncalled for iI tried to be polite but he eventually said.."you're gonna lose, but I have good news for you you're bound to win at one of these games" to which I responded go fuck yourself youre not getting my money and well see whose laughing next fall...the guy thought they were gonna win by 30 never have I met such pompous fans as bama fans and never before have I wanted to see a team get beaten so bad #beatbama I hope we return the kickoff and James Gayle gives an McCarron nightmares for the rest of his life after this game!!!!!
I think that Park is waiting for Cornwell. Cornwell is ranked higher so he holds the cards.
Well in any case we get a good quality QB! I'm glad he's persueing them both. Thought I don't know why Park hasn't committed yet
Just to add on a little more, I would be perfectly happy with Leal starting as Senior, He was a middle of the Road 3* on the 247 Composte ranking and will have had 4 years to adjust to the college game. While he'll only be slightly ahead of Bucky on the new playbook, he knows how to go through his progression and find the open receiver. While he wasn't highly ranked coming out of High School, I think Leal can be a Brian Randall (4* recruit) type of QB who has a high completion percentage and takes care of the football.
I think it's better than One in a Million
Also as others have pointed out, if Jacob Park commits to us before Cornwell announces, I think that would probably take us out of the running. And while I would love for us to land either of them, I wouldn't have any problem with Bucky Hodges taking the snaps for 3 or 4 years. If we sign one of them I would guess that 2014 would probably be a 3 way competition between Leal(R-Sr), Hodges(R-Fr), and Cornwell/Park(Fr), with a slight chance of Carlis Parker(R-Fr/So) making his way into the conversation.
Yes...I do ... But I think park pulls the trigger and cornwell moves on..I'd love to have either though
I think every Hokie playing for the Giants should erase the contributions made by the cav alums.

Really enjoyed this. Like the idea a lot. Thanks Joe
