Good work ESPN. I think it's a little too late to worry that the game has been cancelled but I do understand the worry after that FSU-WVU fiasco last year.

I think I remember a lot of instances with two players back to return punts, maybe the other teams were kicking the punts shorter/to Holmes to avoid a big return from Jarrett?

Just what I always wanted!

From the Lane Stadium Fan Guide

Cameras
No video or movie cameras will be permitted inside the stadium. Still cameras are permitted, however cameras with a detachable lens 6 inches or longer and/or tripods are not.

Thinking about taking my SLR and my smaller lens for the scrimmage. I'm not sure yet.

I hope to go to the scrimmage this Saturday. If I don't have to work on Saturday due to some...work issues, then I plan to see with my four eyes to see the new changes.

I actually like the digicam pattern over the jungle pattern they sported last year. That said, I have to admit it's an odd choice to have orange/maroon digicams, and I hope nobody get seizures from watching the Hokies flying all over the field.

That said, based on ugliness, I would put the orange helmet, bird tracks, and cartoonish helmet on the list in that order.

I want to see a maroon-chrome pattern with the VT logo appearing to float on the helmet. That would be awesome!

Interesting that they have basically have a bye week after playing us so they have more time to complain about why they lost. Also am I the only one who thinks that crimson tide sounds like a menstruation?

Good gravy, you mean we finally have a QB Coach/OC that seems to be doing everything you'd expect or want him to do? This is a promising development, indeed!

Anyone been to an open scrimmage before? Im trying to go to this one on Saturday.

Will it be in Lane? and are there rules against bringing a camera/taking pictures?

Remember: ESPN gave HD her job as a hard-hitting (unless you're Duke, Miami, Clemson, or FSU) reporter.

While I agree that he is not the best position coach, is that all that necessary for a head coach? As long as the head coach is a game manager, motivator and can be the face of the university, athletic department and football team then I see no reason why the he needs to be a good position coach. Just look at Clemson. Dabo is not a good X's and O's but he has surrounded himself with a great offensive innovator. Then there is the contrast with LOLUVA and Mike London. Not a good game manager or a good position coach and that is why they are who they are.

If you're suggesting he has health insurance, I'd agree. But I think medical bills for ACL surgery (especially from James Andrews) would be too expensive even for doctors to pay out of pocket.

I agree with the cause. Just make it tie to orange effect or some other one. ...and I agree as long as CFB is the coach (or AD, *wink* espn *wink*) it aunt going anywhere.

haha i figured ESPN would be highlighting it
