Not-so-bold prediction: Coach Grimes is going to play THE pivotal role in that "toughest football team" goal.
Wait, we turned an o-linemen into a TE and not the other way around?

When can we expect the spring depth-chart?
I want the site to be about the content, not clutter, a clean layout helps push the content, both what we write, and more importantly the conversations that happen as a result, to the forefront.
What features are you missing from the old site? Other than the search bar, which is coming back in as a Google custom search, everything should be here.
I've tried over the last week to get used to this and I will be brutally honest: I don't like the new design. I think it would work great for a mobile site but a minimalistic look is overrated. To preface: I work in IT (and have for nearly 20 years) and am not resistant to change ... but I don't understand why the site was totally overhauled. A change here and there? OK -- But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There were features available in your old "base" design that are no longer there. I don't know joe .. I'm tryin man -- but I already miss the old site. Maybe I'm just resistant to change -- I just saw nothing wrong with the general look-and-feel of the site.
Just curious -- what were your reasons for total overhaul and going with a minimalist approach??
Joe, three things I've noticed: One is a minor nit-picky thing, one is a "wtf" moment that I had that I cannot seem to replicate, and the other appears to be a broken link.
First, the buttons in the banner. I am always slightly annoyed when a button will change color if you mouse over it, implying it can be clicked then, but only a small portion of the button actually does something (in most cases, such as this one, it only works if you click the text). Any way you could change that, or am I the only one that really notices this?
Secondly, a glitch that I found once that I haven't seen again. The "Schedule" text in the banner was coming down vertically from the banner, as shown below:
The text was still clickable, but it looked awkward. I'm using Chrome 25.0 on Win7 Home Premium. It showed up once, in this thread, but I haven't seen it before or since, so it may have just been a download error or something.
This brings me to my last point: the "Schedule" banner link seems to be broken. It takes you to a "Page Not Found" page, with the text "The requested page "/schedule" could not be found."
In an effort to not be a Debbie Downer, some things that I really like about it: the Hokie stone makes an awesome touch, the banner is a wonderful idea that keeps me from scrolling all day, and thank you for re-adding the "edit" function.
Battery is showing its age, but I have a replacement battery coming soon. Hope Jelly Bean will give me reason to keep it until at least the end of the summer. I'm eligible for an upgrade in May.
BTW, Thanks to joe for the larger avis....I can see Box's bat child much better now!
Frank Beamer vs Mike London dance-off
http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2011/september/1/mike-london-dances-i-gif
Works for me. I was going to suggest a Google custom search if it wasn't what was already implemented. It will definitely make your life easier. Thanks!
You can direct link to it here: http://www.thekeyplay.com/search/node. I'm in the process of setting up a Google custom search and killing the site's built in one. Google is faster, a more comprehensive index, and will lessen the load on the server.
Not sure if this is another custom code or not, but one thing I'm not seeing is a search bar where we can easily find old posts. I realize it probably isn't used that often, but I find it handy when I want to find a specific article, such as right now when I want to go back and find the post of Mike London dancing so that we can have a Frank Beamer, Mike London dance-off gif.
This needs to happen. The possibilities are endless. I envision and dancing Frank next to a crying London after we capture #decadeofdominance. You know the guy who was a cop.
Happy for Garland, sad we need to live through our players that transferred to find any basketball success.
go ty, from si:
By inches, the ball off the hands of the 6-foot-1 Garland cleared the outstretched hands of Reginald Buckner, the Rebels' muscular 6-9 center.
"He blocked my shot a couple times during the game, but I ain't scared of nobody,'' Garland said. "I went in there and knew if I could get an open shot, I could make it.''

How is your Bionic doing? I almost threw mine in front of a metro train yesterday because I was getting fed up with it. The battery lasts for around 4 hours these days.
I don't use my phone much for TKP, but I tend to use Dolphin for Android, with the User Agent set to Desktop specifically to avoid mobile pages, unless I have a problem with the regular page. I'll have to try both versions later.
As long as this situation doesn't come up, I'm sure I'll be happy with it
I bet we could put dancing Frank in the middle of a lot of awkward places this offseason.
I hereby assign you (or anyone else) the IP rights freely. Go for it dude.
LOL! This is priceless
Sweet, thanks!

Please. This needs to exist!
I might steal this idea but I'll give you the IP rights.
If I knew what I were doing gif-wise, I might try to get cav man falling off the horse and getting trampled underneath...but I don't have a clue how to go about that.
