I don't get how someone can be such an athletic freak like Marcus Davis and still give such little effort. A 4.4 at 233 lbs. is absurd.
better touch, but his decision making was inconsistent and most importantly in the line of fire with guys coming at him ... he wasn't good.
he chewed up teams with a poor pass rush, but the nc state, florida st and miami teams ate his lunch. yes, i know they got most qb's, but most qb's don't play in the nfl.
he would have never have made it in the nfl. no poise in the pocket, substandard college passing attack and work ethic made it a non starter.
I said partly. There were some unrealistic expectation from the fan base that Marcus Vick would lead the Hokies to the promised land. His playing style was vastly different from Michael, and some of the fans wanted Marcus to be like his brother. The game commentators often pick that up.

He was a 5 star recruit. Fans have very high hopes for most recruits that their team lands, especially for highly touted ones. He should've known not to get involved in the things he did. He had a target on his back because of his last name.
.... is better shooters. They only give you points for doing one thing in this game, and we simply don't do it well enough.
When our team, most notably Jarrell Eddie and Robert Brown, was hitting a high % of their open looks at the start of the season, we were winning. Hell, we beat the #15 team in the country and looked good doing it.
But when Eddie and Brown suddenly and inexplicably went ice cold from the floor, the season went into a tailspin. I've never in my entire life seen two players go so suddenly and so totally in the tank as those two. Eddie has shown flashes here and there since then of wanting to break out of his shooting slump, but Brown's confidence is totally shot. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me at all if neither one is starting next season.
Our program simply needs better players. Right now, aside from Erick Green, we don't have anyone on the roster who would be a sure-fire starter for any other program in the ACC.

Not all alumni are physically able to stand for an entire game, or have the energy to yell for an entire defensive possession. Standing in front of them blocks their view if they have to sit.
I have no problem with Alumni telling people who come into their section (sections that they most likely spent lots of money to sit in) and act like children to "sit down and shut up".
We have student sections for that.
I don't blame Marcus Vick for wanting to play at Tech. Under Beamer, there have been more siblings and father-son who donned the Hokies' uniform.
I think the blame partly go to the unrealistic expectation of the fan base simply because he was a Vick. As someone already mentioned, Marcus was a more pocket passer than Michael whose scrambling ability was phenomenal.
Unfortunately, his attitude, entitlement mentality, and his immaturity hurt his progress at Tech. Let's not forget his stupidity in getting involved with a teenager and of course, flipping off WVu fans for calling him a child molester.
Yes, it was a terrible waste of talent and Beamer was finally strong-armed into kicking Marcus off the team. It is a shame really. I liked Marcus and thought he had the potential to carry the offense, but like I said, he was more immature than he let on.
The fact that he thinks he can get out of jail or paying creditors based on his last name tells me he is not going to learn until somebody stop bailing him out and let him suffer. He's going to have to hit rock bottom and then decide what he wants do...get help to become a better human being or stay there on the bottom and cry himself to the grave. His choice.

I like the #BeatBama logo and the VT looks pretty cool. I like the black hokie stone idea too. I don't know if this is a good idea but should we include a Alabama logo somewhere on the page? Just an idea.
definitely, mstrawther is going to create a new background tonight. going to shift the video up a bit, move the logo down, make it a tad smaller, and make the black hokie stone fill up and around the video.
If you could find a way to make the logo more visible that'd be great, other than that it looks awesome!

Are you talking about Marcus? I thought he had the potential to have a better season than Michael had here if he hadn't been kicked off the team. He was a better pure passer than Mike was, definitely not as good of a runner but still a damn good one. He has no one to blame but himself for this mess he's in though. Not gonna see me shedding any tears.
His official time was a 4.56. He also put up just as many reps (19) as Nick Becton in the bench press.
