I don't need numbers to conclude that. Anyone who has watched him play would know that he's the best player in the conference, the problem is that the North Carolina writers have their heads stuck so far up Coach K and Roy Williams' asses that they won't even take the time to watch him unless he's playing one of those teams.

Going to get a movie trailer style site up. It will have a countdown to kickoff at the top. Thoughts on the domain name?

I read this when STL tweeted it (everyone should follow him, even if he's a Hoo). It's a great article that isn't coated in Tobacco Road bias like other typical media is. I wish all of the POTYs and First Team All Anythings we're picked like this.

This summary was so much better than my recaps.

We're really bad. That's basically it. Oh and they shot over 60% better from three. Bright spots were Raines and Barksdale, really hope they keep stepping up.

I never once noticed a problem with a lack of loudness.

The nosebleed section of the south endzone is another story... damn lottery tickets. But that isn't the issue here.

That said, I do understand the point where people don't want to be told to "get loud". Just like I didn't like being told to "sit down and shut up" when sitting in the rich old alumni section in the west stands for one game my freshman year. Haven't ever sat there since, and will never do so willingly.

And yet, it's "proximity to home" that keeps them within the state of Virginia. If you're the #1 recruit in the nation, why on Earth would you commit to playing football at one of the coldest-weather D1-A schools in the country, when you could be at Texas, USC, Miami, FSU, etc.? Yes, we have a (recent) history of success, but we wouldn't have been able to build that success if we weren't able to convince some recruits over the years to stay close to home.

That said, I don't think the 2 hour difference in travel time between UVA and VT should really matter for people, it's still a drive that's easily made without even wasting the entire day. Assuming you're from the 757: you can work all day Friday and still make it that evening, and you can drive home Sunday morning and catch NFL football on TV at 1.

Yes but as a parent I'd rather not have a "nice drive" just to watch my son waste his potential and consistently loose. I can't believe that "proximity to home" is the wildcard that is attracting kids to a clearly inferior place.

These things always get me hype and make the off-season THAT much longer!!!!!!!!

I think some of these guys want to be closer to home to make it easier for their parents to come to games and stuff. a 1hr or 4-5 hr car ride is a major difference in that regard.

For both your TSL fanship and your appreciation for Billdozer and mstrawther. Welcome to the TKP community.
